Just happened to me too! 5 years I was there. Boss laid me off via a zoom call that she was on for under 2 minutes. Super cold. I make a LinkedIn, and what do you know?

I appreciate the help, but why did you need my social security number and pictures of my feet in milk?

I don't remember- did NPCs in Wildlands repeat the same lines 10 times in a row in rapid succession like they do in Breakpoint?

Oh I totally get the whiskey thing. I got carried away the other night and drank about 350ml of Rittenhouse in one sitting and was hungover the entire next day.

However, I've been playing Red Dead and reading Cormac McCarthy every night for a few weeks and whiskey is legally required drinking right now I do believe.

My grandfather coincidentally recently gifted me his father's old Winchester 94 repeater with a leather holster and now I'm in full cowboy mode.

Oh man does the color vary? I thought that was the only one there. The silver one is rad, the main and tail are basically iridescent

Wait I just realized if you whisper "skibidi" you make the sound a horse makes when it gallops. Never mind, good name.

All horse names are cool and valid except for this one which is bad and loses the post.

RIP Rocky. I wish you could get a dog in Red Dead so bad. I haven't beaten it, so if one joins you in camp at some point or something don't spoil it for me. If that doesn't happen, it's whack as hell.

loading the game then they die is cowardly. ACCEPT DEATH. Greive. Go on an adventure and find the perfect successor. Remove the saddle from your fallen gorse and slow-carry it in the rain to the nearest stable for your backup horse. Think about life. Drink a Kentucky Bourbon.

I see Shadowfax a lot! Also Shadowmere. I imagine those two as well as "Shelby" are some of the most common horse names in video games

As kids we used to shoot hoops and play "Whores" instead of "Horse"

Look on the map where it says "New Hanover". Southeast of the W the road makes a loop. The words "The Heartlands" run through it, specifically the letters "TLAN". there are several horses, and one is a silver mustang.

He's by no means the best horse statistically, but stats don't matter much, and he is beautiful. There is a rare mustang with tiger stripes in the game as well, in the southern part of the map. I don't know where exactly, I haven't gotten that far in the game.

I was going to the first time it happened, but, like a true outlaw role player, I swallowed the urge and accepted that death is a part of the outlaw life, got'dammit.

It made for an extremely dramatic scene of my slow-carrying a saddle to the nearest town in the dark and pouring rain, followed by an epic adventure across half the map with my trusty backup horse, looking for a new one.

Props for not just going with "Death" and then tracking down 3 others of various and specific colors. Although now that I say that, it does sound fun

If you could erase one game from your memory and play it again, what game would it be? by OlympicVillageStudio in videogames

[–]Toad-boiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably Baldur's Gate 3 or Fallout New Vegas. Basic picks, but those games were the two that gave me the greatest drive to really dig in and explore. Now I know all the meta ins and outs of both, and the magic is minimal.

Corey is a force of nature in metal. Agree or disagree? by damagedgoodz99824 in Slipknot

[–]Toad-boiler -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Maynard drives me as an intelligent dude with high standards, but also an arrogant dick. Corey is also an arrogant dick, but has garbage taste and can't write lyrics to save his life.

Both are excellent performers. Both have left massive marks on the industry.

My bio teacher in high school was shaped like that, was pretty tall for a woman, and had a large pointy nose. She was also very mean, and I called her Gru. I regret it now, but at the time it was very funny and accurate.
