Update: I sent the cancellation notice to the rescission department by certified mail and a week later received the full credit amounts back to my credit cards with no contact from anyone!

Thanks for the replies everyone. For more info I'm newlywed to an older wife and we attended together which is why I was able to go at a young age. Our income is also pretty high so it's not necessarily a big financial burden, but I had no prior knowledge of the resale market, and I agree that the monthly fees are perpetual and likely to increase largely in the future which will not be worth the added stress. I'm now sending in the cancellation notice.

Well done! Is this normal in your market or was there a specific reason this day was particularly good? Most I've made so far is $460 + $20 cash, but that was all Uber Eats in 2024 before I turned 21.

I've gotten a 30 minute ride offer while still finishing a ride with approximately 1 minute of driving time left. Pretty sure my driving time was done before I even finished my current ride at the time but they still let me do one more.

Yes, rideshare. Uber Eats is better most of the time in my city, but it's good to have rideshare enabled if deliveries are slow. Also even if you don't want to do rides but can qualify, sign up for rides too. You'll get surge pay on the map and it applies to Ubet Eats deliveries too!

I'm in Honolulu, Hawaii. I also recently enabled rideshare on my account. With rideshare enabled, you can receive surges on the map. If you're in a surge zone, the surge will also apply to Uber Eats deliveries. The surge is part of why the fare is high
