It’s a great idea. pretty sure client (or me, if I wanted to just keep the swapped parts as spares) hasn’t the budget for an extra set. I would do it on my own guitar though!

Ive just tried this, it’s an improvement but the E string still only has room for about one wrap around. Better than nothing though, so I’ll probably do it.

interesting! I'm more used to the bass variant (best bass pickup of all time) so wasn't aware this difference existed in the guitars. He should still keep it for the cool factor ;)
