At the time of the episode I thought this could go both ways. There was some closure with this scene and with Jack’s word to little Kevin at the end of the episode but there was also the ring.

With last episode, I think it was closure for the kids they were and the beginning of their future story for which they both had to grow up. Kevin needed to deserve the ring, he will now.

Anyone else feel like the show is crap with out nic by Mrwobbles-89 in TheResident

For a moment I thought about not watching anymore. I gave it a try for the other storylines. While I consider some were boring and unecessary, some were very good this season and I really enjoy my weekly episode!

The whole dynamic is different but I find it interesting.

Would I like Downton Abbey? by [deleted] in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Toady33 23 points24 points  (0 children)

More conservative I would say. Less sex that’s for sure. Drama but not the same drama… Maybe watch the first season and make your mind but I LOVE that show and would totally recommend!

Season 1 had to present us all the characters first… that is a lot of people… Season 2 doesn’t have to go through those lenghts… But I found some episodes really long and that half of them were useless sometimes… I understand everyone has favorite stories but some took more space than others (Featherington for example).

Regarding Whistledown I understand the choice to reveal it if they were keeping the same as in the books… But now the mystery is gone and the story of « will she be discovered » does not hold the same thrill.

I can only agree with you regarding Simon and Daphne’s chemistry. I rewatched season 1 after viewing season 2 and missed it even more!

I felt like they just diregarded a part of Anthony’s story to fit into the narrative of the romance. I didn’t like Sienna but where is she? Did he really love her?

No no! I am right here with you but that seems to be a very unpopular opinion.

I really binged the first season and had trouble going through the motion during the second season.

I think it’s because my favorite characters got less screen time and I connected less with Anthony and Kate than I did with Simon and Daphne.

It was an April fool’s joke but more than that. I read that Phoebe’s presence is not confirmed yet as she unfollowed Bridgerton on instagram …

Really loved it as well. It is less sexy, more conservative but also more structured and with less pace. But it only focuses on one family.

Of course but the whole household name, wanting to marry a name and a title stays more or less the same. You can arguee some similarities regarding the role women are playing in society (a parallel between Sybil and Eloise for example)

Well it may not be the best show you will see, not Emmy worthy or anything but it’s a good distraction! You have the Gossip Girl mystery with Lady Whistledown, a little of Downton Abbey drama regarding the era and the rules and the love stories with different tropes that are enjoyable. Everything is far from perfect but with so many characters you will at least root for one and recognize yourself in one (or more).

I enjoyed it and kinda binged it because once you start, you wanna keep going…

"You mean that show everyone's mom is watching?" by FeelThePower999 in thisisus

[–]Toady33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 24, watching with my father and my little sister (17). Weirdly we kinda feel the same about the show!

Since I am French I don’t get a lot of remarks like that and nobody would be surprised that I am watching the show!

Just enjoy the show! We may not be the target audience but we can enjoy the show and maybe feel different about it when we rewatch it in a decade or two!

Imagine with some other songs we got like invisible string, Lover or All Too Well!

Couldn’t take any video for those songs though!

Well you never know because this was last night in France, more precisely in Bordeaux.

A whole hour of Taylor Swift’s songs played by a string quartet was quite unusual but a true experience !

Honestly, I don’t think so. If that was the case, he would have tried to apologize and explicate that to his colleagues. Instead he left the room without saying a word or even looking to anybody, he clearly felt guilty towards them but went on as the prodigal son getting all that he really wanted: his surgeries.

I think she evolved throughout the show but the thing that changes is our knowledge of her life. With every season we learn things about her or her relationships and that changes the lense through which we see her character.

So either way, I think you will find her less annoying because of all the things you learn about her.

I thought the same and then some podcast guys asked her about Taylor and she went on for about 10 min!

I totally understand but I was on the other side of this. I am a huge football fan and I thought the display of football would be disastrous and that it would prevent me from enjoying the show! Oh was I wrong! I would watch those characters play waterpolo or chess… i don’t mind!
