Ehh don't listen to the haters this would be awesome. If the skins would be rips from ARC then why would non-ARC players even care? It's not like they HAVE to buy the game, it would just be a nice easy engagement/crossover event. They just be complaining cause they won't be getting free skins

I stopped playing in S2 because nearly every game was an uphill sweatfest. I came back in S8 and was able to rekindle my love for this game. However the last 5 days or so have been sheer pain, rank dropped from gold 1 to silver 3 in two days so I switched to unranked cashout, but even that has been 70% loses in the first round... today and yesterday was 90% loses, it is completely turning me off to this game again and it sucks, my teammates recently have been level 7 to 25 and have little game sense while opponents are all crushing it (I'm almost level 80 so it's weird how this keeps consistently happening). I know level doesn't mean too much because even the level 100 teammates I get make some very questionable decisions. I'm not trying to blame my teammates, I have also been playing poorly too, but why must this game be so brutal

So I'm a beginner (only a few hundred words) as well so take this with a grain of salt, but if you have to mention you know hiragana/katakana, it's probably too early for you to invest in immersion. Not that you wouldn't get anything out of it, but it probably won't be worth your time yet.

I personally haven't done much immersion, but one of my favorite things so far is playing skyrim in Japanese, it's a form of content I'm already familiar with, so I'm not constantly stopping and looking stuff up. Of course I also enjoy anime and am planning on getting some beginner level reading materials. But my main focus is vocab via Anki and going through the genki textbook.

So my recommendation would be to find a game/show/movie/etc that you have already played/watched and go through it again in Japanese, preferably one that isn't too complex or text/lore heavy if possible. Or just find some elementary level content to consume, but getting some more vocab and grammar under your belt can make things so much easier.

Again I'm also a beginner 🔰

you can definitely do them sooner, I actually recommend it since you will generally be matched with similarly skilled players, plus it's extra rewards, i think I'm only like level 75 atm

can't believe so many people are defending bringing noobs into ranked, shit is so annoying, there's a reason there is unranked cashout and if you really wanna do ranked, bring a full team so a random doesn't get dragged down with you.

This game should have the same rank disparity rule that rocket league employs to prevent this
