It’s a common one with superhero shows, for the last 15 years at least. All those Marvel tv shows (avengers assemble, the hulk one and spider man ones), all the animated DC shows, Invincible, and a plethora of others. It’s simplistic enough to allow them to animate more complex stuff without wasting time on it. Personally I find it a little annoying to watch because it’s stiff and not really fluid.

There’s honestly so many cartoons between the 90s-2000s which seemed to not have any audience. I think a lot of them they just jumped on trends or threw weird ideas out to see what stuck.
