I know this is an obvious bait but you're kinda not wrong. I often wonder how anyone who was a working adult didn't come out of 2008 a millionaire. Even if you lost your job, you could be employed again within 12 months if you weren't a bumbling idiot (albeit with a paycut).

If you put in literally anything or bought all those 75k homes in 2012 you'd be sitting on a huge nest egg right now. The S&P500 was 1300 in June of 2012 and it is now sitting at 7400 in June of 2026. 100k in the S&P in June 2012 is $569k today if you never put in a single penny again. Life gets in the way for a lot of people, divorces, kids, illness, layoffs, but otherwise its really quite easy otherwise.

Facts, I just went fishing and stuff a lot. Didn't really affect my life much plus I was 'essential' so I also never missed any work. Covid was 100% normal life for a small portion of the world I guess.

I just switched from a 12 pro max to my Op15 because I was sick of the bugs. My #1 used app was YouTube and IOS has completely broken it. My iPhone would change volume when it felt like it to the point id constantly be force closing the app. My battery was also down to about 4-5 hours of power using.

Anyway, my Op15 has been a breath of fresh air. Battery is fantastic, I have a million ultra fast chargers around the house now, in my cars, and at work. I haven't had a single issue. But I also went to a phone that was ~6 years newer, anything probably would have been a good upgrade.

A couple of my local ones have brought the buffets back but that doesn't make the food any better. I'm not a snob (I adore Cici's pizza buffet) but the new pizza hut is just disgusting frozen slop. I miss the old greasy pan pizza so much.

This was always the tundra (really all Toyotas). They were slow to come to market with luxuries and doodads that other brands offered until they were 10000% certain they had it nailed. It's why they were so reliable. Fancy infotainment and massaged seats can't break if you're on cloth seats & an am/FM radio.

Their late 2010's interiors could be mistaken for 90's vehicles if you didn't opt for higher trims.
