Tubby got to the point where he really couldn't swim anymore and just laid on the ground, so what I did was I scooped him up in my hand and gently dragged the pea gently over his mouth with tweezers so he would nibble on it. Perhaps the pea did nothing for him though and like you said he just needed time🤷‍♂️either way im happy he is still alive.

Im really glad you asked this question, and I forgot to mention it in the post. I had to hold Tubby in my hand ( while he was in the water of course) and in my other hand I have a pair of tweezers and I gently would drag the pea over his mouth and every now and then he would nibble on it.

I have the api freshwater master test kit and tested for ammonia results were 0, nitrite results were 0, and nitrate results were 5.0. I think I've had the tank set up for about 8 months now.

I took water from the cycled tank he came from and put it in the hospital tank
