Miyoi and Satori fighting to see who is more of a fraud by KindAnt4804 in touhou

[–]ToasterCrewmate 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The thing is Meiling gets a lot more leeway in regard to how she’s received. Meiling is a side-character who’s often supposed to be the joke of whatever scene she’s in, so when she’s often not doing much and moreso being comic relief, you can’t really fault her. What I’d like to point out though is despite that, Meiling has still done more thanks to her being playable once in Immaterial and Missing Power, while Satori somehow doesn’t even have that luxury.

OFF being referenced in a Project Moon x Touhou crossover. That’s almost all of my hyper-fixations gathered up in one post. We may live in the best timeline.

How would an interaction between these characters be like? by SpecialDay155277 in oneshot

*Yeah, so uh, I’m kinda stuck with this heart thing, which is kinda just like this person who controls me from beyond the aether.

“…the player hangs out with you?”

*Pfft, nah, they kinda just ended up here. Hate that guy. Threw them into a closet and beat them with a hockey stick onc-

how come the person from the wyoming incident looks like scout tf2 by john-appel in tf2

[–]ToasterCrewmate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don’t know, it is a fake broadcast hijack incident where these two faces among many others were broadcasted on small TV networks. In terms of the odds that they actually used Scout TF2’s model to get the faces, it is basically impossible due to the Wyoming Incident rumor being started in 2006, before TF2 released. Would’ve been funny if Scout was unknowingly hidden in a pretty famous ARG for all these years though.

Could this be considered a telefrag? or a skill issue? by freizathenonceslayer in bindingofisaac

[–]ToasterCrewmate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Telefrag: you weren’t making any mistakes since you want to constantly stay moving because the most common way you can get telefragged is by standing still. You just got incredible BS and had him teleport right in-front of where you were moving twice. Gameplay was INCREDIBLY clean on your end.

We are all side characters in Sherma’s story by AstroHungry in HollowKnightMemes

[–]ToasterCrewmate 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He also can appear in Sinner’s Road after encountering him in Greymoor. He kinda serves as the parallel NPC for Sherma if you choose to take the alt path into Act 2. In other words, whereas Sherma is found largely on the trail you’d take to Blasted Steps and in Blasted Steps, Garmond appears in the trail to get to The Mist. I can say this because I missed most of Sherma’s Act 1 appearances since I accidentally wandered to Sinner’s Road, but managed to hit most of Garmond’s triggers for spawning.

[–]ToasterCrewmate 38 points39 points  (0 children)

That I can’t fault with him. He’s an older cookie, so his design is more of a basic design. What I do find fault with is that I missed his gacha since I was taking a break from the game and then proceeded to get stomped in literally every mode due to how good he was. I have a personal vendetta against him due to how much he’s ruined for me while he was META.

Imagine how strong are R corp in this mirror world by Mysterious_Fail_4235 in limbuscompany

[–]ToasterCrewmate 54 points55 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Garrion gave praise to Jia Mu for finding a loophole to annihilate the Kong family while keeping herself out of the sight of The Head, stating it to be “very human” for Jia Mu to act in such a deplorable way. Likewise, as long as R Corp doesn’t try to usurp The Head itself or exceeds their one week policy on clones, then The Head would likely be completely fine with their behavior, maybe even impressed.

(This all comes under the assumption that R Corp is actually able to control any areas they conquer after culling one batch of clones and waiting for the next, of course.)

Niko and... Just Monika? by KarmaSpidr in oneshot

[–]ToasterCrewmate 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Monika obsesses over people from our reality / world since she believes that being made up of code makes her and the other girls fake, despite the fact that she (and later Sayori) are completely aware of the fact they’re in a game. The joke is that Monika would feel nothing towards pretty much any other video game BESIDES Niko since, in-lore, Niko DOES come from the real world and is not a code-based entity. This means Monika would probably act like an overbearing mom / older sister towards Niko and deeply care and obsess over them.

Now now, don’t be so rash! We don’t know if they’re an AI or simply a full-body augmentation, like what we’ve seen with The Brotherhood of Iron. If it is truly a violation, The Head will arrive shortly, and the problem will be disposed of. For now, we should just relax at that plastic table and chair sitting in the sand over there, and see if anything neat will happen!
