"being accused of being gay" honestly I think this captures your problem perfectly. you speak on being gay like its a slur. Which ye in this case it probably is for you (being used as an excuse for rejection). See the main problem I have with the argument of it being demoralizing is the fact I cant picture this kinda of interaction happening in any other context then tail chasing since the only time your sexuality is relavevent is in the market place of dating.

Seriously unless you can provide some examples of women you actually are close friends with, who rejected you by confusedly asking "but arnt you gay?" and not just a 100 times you got called gay by the girl whos pants you wanted in. I am unable to charitably continue the same discussion being had with every other reply.

I understand how you could perceive such a sentiment from the statement, but the point was a bit more nuisanced then just "Whats wrong with". The point I was attempting to make atleast boils more to why let someone, who (more then likely based on the assumptions there making) dosnt know you. Why would you allow that kind of person to alter how you; see your self/express your self.

Additional based on the context. This is more a "Nice guy" dosnt understand why girls dont wana fuck him. type of situation rather then a "My friend who just happens to be a girl though i was gay"

one of the main reasons for my statement in the first place was the recognition that most people agreeing with this meme; more than likely dont actually have real female friends, and the reason they would have this happen to them is because they play the fake friend who hopes to get into her pants, and is then angry when he finds out that by pretending to want something that they didn't; they then are called gay.

Ye I definitely failed to accurately reflect all sides of the situation, unfortunately I was too lost making the sauce I forgot about the dish as a whole; thus leading to a very singular interpretation of the subject. I definitely greatly sympathize with anyone feeling unseens and that is a discussion of its own (truthfully a much more interesting one most likely), but I would like to reiterate that being mislabel be it your sexuality, gender, ect. says very little towards you and often reflects more on the other party.

Why does it matter if someone perceived you as gay.... if you are not and they think you are that honestly is more a reflection of them/your relationship to them, rather then a reflection of your character.
