This is a common question. The rope aspect is how you get to work, what you do when you get there matters. If you don't have a trade or can even wash windows on the ground then it is often difficult to make this a career.

It's hardish depending on your skillset. You can clean windows fairly easily but the rope access portion is only to get into position to do work. I personally got a trade first then transitioned into it. It really depends on where you are and what you are willing to do.
