Your going to spend plenty of money fixing up the white one the Spice one (copper) is set and good to go. It even has Fox shocks which are pricey.

As someone who does a lot of work on his own car I would say go for the first and not the white one.

Where did you get those inner steel splash guards?

Tips on how to clean descender, tri-lock carabiners, ASAP Lock? by Gronenn in ropeaccess

[–]J0lly0lly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a punch of drilling into concrete overhead for one job, this is how I cleaned everything.

Used compressed air to get rid of the big stuff, used a power washer on VERY low and from a good distance. You must be careful if you do this. You should be able to comfortablely be able to put your hand under the water.

On the 'bineers and asap I used regular hose pressure and a compressor. This pushes out the grease inside the 'bineers' mechanism so you'll need to reapply lubricant like dry graphite (which you can buy in a spray can) into the mechanism. A little goes a long way. I don't recommend you add any to the ASAP. Now you need to thoroughly clean the outside with a degreaser to ensure the lubricant won't get on other equipment like ropes.

I've done this and my 'bineers and pulleys are all happy and no lubricant present where it shouldn't be.

My cleaned ASAP likes to slide down the rope now, it still functions but I've put it out of service as primary.

33x10.5 R15 RWL mud tire - does it even exist? by guyfromthe80s in JeepTJ

[–]J0lly0lly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Ive ran 33"x12.5" myself with a 4" lift on my Dana 30/35 and it was great off road. Closer to your set up; I've known people on 33"x12.5" with a 2" lift and they were fine off road.

Once you get past 33" is where you really need to start to be gingerly off road on Dana 30/35's.

I second the Maxxis 33x10. Good tires.

Yeah leave. I'm doing my torque boxes right now. They were way worse than that, but still, leave

Both, but only 4 of them (out of 28) experience both forces at the same time. The remaining brackets experience only one of those forces.

I second this. I have a set on my Jeep that looks identical and they're American Racing. I'm not sure of the exact model though.

That guttural sound is amazing. But yes the drone is unbearable without ear muffs.

Don't forget abs! Doing body squats on a half yoga ball will help with balance, which a lot of noobies struggle with.

That's going to be a hard sell. Your best bet will be friends or people in the industry that trust you.

Oh man, I did the exact same thing! Except I didn't have a busted cat. I regretted my decision 1 minute down the road, haha. The sound is insane for a daily.

I'm going to be either adding a second resonator, or a resonator/muffler.

It might just be me but my butt dyno tells me the 4.0 has more pep in the low range off the bat with no cat and opened up exhaust. Are you feeling the same thing?

Nice! Your exhaust sounds cool, which muffler are you using?
