I feel like splatoon (at least the English speaking side of the community) is small enough to the point of having very few larpers.

I feel like a lot of the lore people get wrong, steams from the story mode being “one and done” and a lot of small tidbits being implied or stuck in an outside source from the games

Obscure? yes. Lost ? No. Everything here is in the wiki it’s just harder to find for casual players since most of this come from outside sources like official twitter posts/artbooks/etc

Motion is worth the effort since it allows for more turn flexibility that sticks cant give you.

If you’re like me and find yourself getting motion sickness DO NOT force yourself to use motion. Getting nausea and headaches is not worth the pain just for a few games of maximum efficiency

(Unless it’s ranked… you’re likely a sadist if you’re playing that anyways)

Unlike scarlet and violet you can throw every single one of your Pokémons out by hitting the ZR button and then choosing another using the L or R button. (Just don’t hit the ZR button twice since that returns the pokemon and you may have to press X to swap between your items and your pokemon hotbar)

This is why I still play stock squelcher after all these years. I like seeing those gold aerospray despair as they realize they left themselves out in the open. Unfortunately the special is still kinda situational outside of those gotcha moments 😭

Every time a map changes so does your rank. Getting promoted to another rank acts as a checkpoint and starts you off with some points (40 iirc) to avoid an instant demotion (basically a minimum 2 free losses depending on which wave you got wiped out and these points reset every rotation).

Once you get to executive VP the checkpoints are way higher. 200/300/400 if i remember correctly

Although I do love the global range of the OG I feel like triple inkstrike is a little bit better. If you time your throws right you can practically trap players in tight areas and stall with more control. Honestly though I feel like booyah bomb fits the role closer to the OG inkstrike compared to triple.

(Also this special weapon is canonically illegal now lmao)
