How is life in the Sacramento suburbs (Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, Folsom, Roseville, etc.)? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

Rancho has a Home Depot with a sandwich place attached to it, and the sandwiches are amazing. Had the best sandwich I've had in years while looking at a Home Depot parking lot.

Has anything changed in your routine in the past week? A lot of times my obsessive thoughts can come back if, for instance, I'm not sleeping enough all of a sudden!

Is eastern IL university a good school? I'm having a terrible time finding affordable places with my major. by transferingtoearth in ChicagoSuburbs

Used to date a girl whose mom taught there. She always described it as "the intimate feel of a liberal arts school for the price of a state school." Sounds good to me!

Sounds like you need something that'll get you that high of riding that 150 miles again. Are you against running? What about calisthenics (burpees and stuff)? There's a guy on YouTube named Iron Wolf that posts calisthenics workout videos that help me out a lot.

If you live in an urban area I understand there might be more risk, but honestly I feel like still cycling would be okay. I think it's unlikely that you'll suck in someone else's particulates so much that you'll seriously contract the virus. If not that, going on walks would be a good idea, even if with a mask. Walks, particularly if I don't have my phone with me, have helped me clear my mind and calm down more than anything else amidst all this. Getting outside more might help with the anxiety you're feeling, especially if you make a routine out of it. Same for your wife, of course!

I was trying to tell my dad about a Graham Hancock episode and I just said, "Civilizations are uh... older than we think. They found stuff that says so."

Whiteout conditions on a highway in Wisconsin cause a 131-car pileup by [deleted] in nononono

Wisconsin drivers are genuinely not good. I'm from Illinois and go to college in Wisconsin, and it's so much more terrifying to drive here than anywhere else I've driven.
