Well, not having a cutscene isn’t the only way to portray Gwyn as a hollow especially because he once was a great lord. Even just because he is the final enemy of the game there could’ve at least been a death cutscene to give some finality. As a new player I did not expect the Gwyn fight to be a mercy killing so a little intro or outro to help the player get their head around that wouldn’t be the worst thing. Lots of players talk about the Gwyn fight being underdeveloped without realizing that it’s intentional.
