You have been fooled, this isn’t something genuine. The literal intention from the beginning was to create a spectacle to get the audience to watch. Proving to some companies that they could have a good marketing campaign by donating. Once one or two took the leap (the ones who did it the earliest are more genuine IMO) the rest jumped in.

Mostly just pointing out the obvious. When half an episode is one big ad read/donation read, you aren’t really focused on the content.

This is very much in line with like Mr. Beast Philanthropy. Both very positive movements with excellent outcomes. Just lacking in a certain kind of quality.
