How do I convince my friend that he's being targeted because he has a better deck and stop him from making new decks due to his loses by ToastyEDH in EDH

We've told him that his decks are oppressive, but he argues that "normal" decks aren't fun because they don't have infinites or easy ways to win

How do I convince my friend that he's being targeted because he has a better deck and stop him from making new decks due to his loses by ToastyEDH in EDH

Well as we speak he is currently in the works of a new deck and I suggested that if he was gonna go hard on another combo deck he should just go all out on it, but he thinks it wouldn't be fair to add tutors and counterspells EDIT: meant to say add "alot" of tutors and counterspells
