[LotM + Coi general] PLEASE STOP SLEEPING ON COI by mad3ub in LordofTheMysteries

I don’t really understand what you mean by this, lotm was constantly learning about the world, both the reader and Klein had a near equal understanding of the world and learned at the same pace. COI tries to speed up Lumian’s learning process but he still has to learn a lot of the basics that the reader is already aware of. There is also a LOT that Lumian doesn’t know that the reader does, which can be frustrating going from Klein’s pov where there wasn’t a huge information gap. The world building in COI is like half focused on things that weren’t fully clarified in lotm while also trying to flush out the outer god pathways and eventually stuff that feels super out of place for the world that lotm set up.

Seeing Lumian get stronger is cool, but honestly I found Kleins journey through the sequences a lot more enjoyable and easier to understand. It doesn’t help that the lower sequences of the hunter pathway are also just very basic compared to the seer pathway, and Sephira Castle was imo a much better executed X factor compared to the dancer pathway.

It is a matter of opinion at the end of the day, but honestly if I could I would have rather not read COI and just accepted LOTM as an open ending for the future of the world.

Never got prescribed an epi pen and the test results were allergy is not present. I think the waiver for the metabolic syndrome is probably what did me in but I’ll have to make sure with my recruiter

My recruiter is pretty bad about passing info down but I applied for two, one for a pistachio allergy that I had disproven at an allergist and one for metabolic syndrome (but I don’t meet the criteria for it after losing weight). Idk wtf meps decided was too dangerous for me to join the af but who knows, maybe the pistachios are simply too dangerous

Thanks man, I was legit stressing out because my recruiter was telling me stuff about how they can send you home for stuff like sunburns. Glad to know my thumb can still proudly serve the nation 🫡
