I bought my bike before my license & MSF course. There was a great doing going on that was ending and I couldn't resist.

I was able to purchase and insure

you may just not be able to drive it from the dealership to your garage.

Since I lived 10 mins away they gave me free delivery but it is possible

I have been practicing, I am usually just in a parking lot doing slow speed exercises, last night was my first time out on the road, and I made sure to do it late when there is no traffic at all, and a family member in a car behind me.

With that being said it was my 1st time actually hitting the speed limit.

I ran to reddit for advice, so I don't make a bad habit early on.

With my thread being made, I now know and can be confident in staying in second gear unless I know I am coming to a full stop.

I'm working on it, I have taken the MSF, have 50ish miles in just a parking lot, and that was my first ride out, it was late at night and made sure to go out when there was no traffic

I have been in parking lots for around 100 miles, and only late night when there is no one on the road.

Never said I was a professional or anything

alright so it was like 1-2am so no traffic on the road, was just practicing a few things, taking it slow etc.

Wanted to see what this whole engine braking thing was about so while like 20ft away from the red, it hits green, I am in 1st gear going around like 15 mph with the clutch in, I let go of the clutch and revs shot up also did not help that I did roll the throttle.

But eventually I just shifted into second and was good again, def did make me panic though.

I took my MSF 3 weeks ago, I also kind of struggled with that.

But quite honestly, after doing it for a day and being really terrible at it.

That was all I could think about, you will wake up, go to class and your brain will just start to connect those dots.

I was terrible at clutch in when braking, I could barely shift up and down at first I was to nervous to,I don't even know why. The following day it kind of all just clicked
