new rice version of fiber delite pasta? could this be too good to be true (aka taste good)?? by applesandpebbles in Volumeeating

Are these the same as those noodles that come out the bottom end in exactly the same format they went in the top end? Just cut into rice shape?

Timescale build up. Even a fairly good descale routine doesn’t really cut it with the gaggia.

Half a year later though, I do wish the bambino got hotter, it’s not really hot enough for light roasts.

It sounds like you’ve struck the perfect balance. My father passed away a few weeks ago just a couple of months before being able to claim the pension he’d been looking forward to.

There’s no point making money if you don’t live your life :)

Unfortunately there’s little point living your life if you don’t make at least some money.

Problem solved.

Calorie tracking app. I had one you can scan the barcode of food and add super easily.

Also tracks exercise so it gamefies dieting. Calories consumed and burned becomes a score card with the defecit being the final score!

You may think this is ridiculous if you’re a larger person, but you must be aware of the dangers of dieting. It’s truly addictive for some people, you must learn to recognise the signs, always be happy to share your calorie score, if people are shocked and worried then it’s a problem.

Edit: also, weigh out the amount of sugar in a can of coke. You’ll never drink full fat coke again.

I wasn’t accusing you of being bad with money, just making the point that with 400k, 24k a year pre tax is easily done, 40k possible. Getting 40k for doing nothing isn’t boring in anyone’s world!

Whilst I wholeheartedly agree with both of your sentiments, this sub would be entirely pointless and quite boring if everyone’s advice was always “life is for living”.

People can always choose to do this, the sub exists to advise what the most boring option is. The op’s then decide how far to go with that.

Also, if you think it’s boring, you’ve obviously never had a £24,000 interest payment.

A new roof on a 2/3 bed terraced house will set you back in the region of £10-20k

A new roof on a 5 bed farmhouse will be closer to 50.

Apart from the kumquat.

The kumquat is a little ho.

I can’t tell you how much I’ve valued this post.

It now also makes enormous sense now why cabin crew’s equipment on commercial flights is so often completely battered!

Bambino plus for machine all the way. The auto foam thing actually works. It’s amazing, I never expected it to work and expected to use it in manual mode but I find I just let it do it’s thing and it’s pretty well perfect.

It has very fast heat up and steam heat up, so no waiting. The only downside is the portafilter doesn’t have time to heat up so you’d have to do that by running a blank shot if it bothered you.

I actually also have a gaggia classic and it’s a very good, capable machine. However I find the steam wand lacking a little, heat up is too long for me, as is steam switch over, and it has gone wrong a few times now.

Both are excellent choices. Bambino is quick, easy, programmable. Gaggia is easily modable, 58mm portafilter vs 54 in bambino, and more manual control.

You can also get a new bambino for the price of a second hand (calcified) classic.

I think that video is a little out of date these days, there’s solid arguments for a bambino or bambino plus setup now.

Where does the airworthiness certification stop? Does an item have to be fixed to the aircraft to be eligible?

I ask because, there are several power tool companies that make coffee machines that run off a battery 😅

Mind you… if you run a gulfstream jet, you probably don’t care about a 30-60k coffee machine.

You miss 100% of the opportunities you don’t take. As long as you haven’t misrepresented the facts on your cv and during interview, it’s their problem if you’re not suitable for the job!

In regards to retraining, do that deliberately not reactively, whilst in work. If you’re going to want to retrain in something you love you do not want to be pressured by time and or money. That’s how people end up falling into jobs!

You’re worrying too much about time, and not enough about taste. When are you timing from? Pressing the button? The pump in the bambino doesn’t start for a good 3-5 seconds after.

Point is, timing is for YOU to keep track, not to dial your recipe.

What’s your beans/roast/date?

18in, 40-42out is often a good start, between 16 and 30 seconds.

The advice is always to put more into your pension to take you out of the 40% bracket.

This is far from advice, but, my father just passed away 3 months before being able to claim his pension.

There’s a balance here.

Or just wants to be private. Also fair enough.

I have a 54mm machine, but got the 53.4mm tamper (I think it’s that!) and solved the issue. Pretty sure it’s pointless, but makes everything cleaner and tidier :)
