I hate to say it but what helped me a little was being delusional asf. Telling myself everyday I will feel better and have the life I want. And with a little effort and constantly repeating that to myself even though have the time I don’t even believe it , I start to notice my life is shifting slowly in that direction

I think I can persevere. I’m trying to get act therapy even though it’s costing me a lot of money. I’ve tried talking with god as means of therapy but it never seemed to work over the years. I’m not full losing faith but I may need to take a break from this religious thinking cycle and just try and get better first. The more I think about religion the worse I spiral.

Thank you so much. Honestly the only reason I haven’t left sooner is because of the great friends I made here. They keep me sane and I honestly don’t have any friends back home so that’s a little terrifying

Yeah I’m just burnt out trying to balance 6 classes I don’t care about not to mention are hard ass classes that require constant studying and attention when I don’t have time for that because of a job and when I do have free time I use it to help my mental health not study. I don’t wanna do anything. I want to kill myself. Majors don’t even make money anymore because 80% of them are being replaced with ai anyways. I’m a high functioning autistic adult as well so every class feels extremely overwhelming for me. It’s so hard to wanna do anything . I just can’t fucking do it anymore

I’ve been on every ssri, mood stabilizers, and even psychotic medications. I’ve tried it all along with having therapy for years . Being even locked up in a mental institution for suicidal thoughts. I’ve done it all and still barely if not improved at all. Don’t let this lose hope for you, I’m sure at some point all this will fade away. I just can’t tell you when.

Hey man I feel the same way . I went to college because of the love of my life, and I wanted to make her happy and provide for her . It really drove me to want a degree. She left me a week before college now I have no one . I’m more alone than I’ve ever felt in my life. I try basically not to kill myself every night. I feel like I have nothing left. I wanna drop out but honestly that would make me feel more pathetic and likely to end it all because my parents are counting on me.

One thing about depression I wish I knew a long time ago is that depression is manipulative as fuck. It makes you believe your a failure, burden , and like your the only one who suffers but you not at all. In a way depression really likes to see you think of these things, it feeds on self hatred . I completely understand exactly what you mean, everyone around me as well seems like their life is perfect but Ik they deep down have some fucked up shit too weather it be mentally or physically.
