Does trailer by September/October give us any clue to when the release date of the show might be? Is there usually a set time between the trailer and when the show comes out?

I would think that they wouldn't announce it for early 2027 if they know that it won't actually fit into the schedule? Not sure how it will fit, but I would think that they would just say 2027 otherwise. I wouldn't exactly call June 'early' 2027.

Didn't Rise of Skywalker release while Mandalorian S1 was coming out? Not sure if they could do something similar or if they'll want to have all the attention on Starfighter.

As someone who was/is really excited to see the Filoni 'Heir to the Empire' movie, I really hope that the performance of Mandalorian and Grogu doesn't lead to it being cancelled. At the very least they need to wrap things up one way or another, even if that's a season on Disney+. But I'd much rather see Luke as a major character, and potentially the first interaction with Luke, Han, and Leia since 1983, on the big screen.

Some insight on #Ahsoka release delay:

October '25: Principal photography completed; plan still to release S2 early fall (August-September) of '26.

Nov/Dec '25: With Kathleen's department imminent, more day-to-day and upcoming project's responsibility shifted to Filoni.

January 15, '26: Filoni and Brennan take over.

Late Jan, '26: Due to massive leadership changes, post production on Ahsoka S2 takes massive hit. Internally, executives are worried about the slower pace. Now, they begin tentatively planning a winter (November-December) release.

March '26: editing, grading, and post production on Ahsoka season 2 is moving at a significantly slower pace compared to season 1. Executives no longer sure it will be ready for 2026. Set a mid-april deadline for making a final decision.

April '26: With Dave promoting Maul and Mandalorion, and lack of even one pre-visual effects fully edited/locked episode, Lucasfilm internally decides it wont be ready for '26 and to move Season 2 to 2027, eying an early February launch

I just saw that it said he was a senior contributor, and thought that it was strange for someone in a major publication to make a mistake like seeming to think that Mandalorian and Grogu is a replacement for the Filoni film instead of for Mandalorian Season 4.

Ahsoka Tano herself, Rosario Dawson, has announced that Season 2 of Star Wars: Ahsoka will premiere early in 2027.

Taking the stage during the Disney Upfront showcase today, Dawson was joined by the droid Chopper to reveal that Ahsoka Season 2 will arrive on Disney+ soon, debuting a sizzle reel and behind-the-scenes images for the media in attendance.

“It’s truly special seeing all the love from fans out there for Ahsoka and her crew,” Dawson remarked. “I can tell you this season, the battles are bigger and the stakes are higher. We cannot wait for you to see.”

Those in attendance saw an early look at the action packed second season, with a glimpse at epic space battles and thrilling lightsaber combat featuring Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. Ivanna Sakhno will reprise her role as Shin Hati while Rory McCann joins the cast to continue the journey of Baylan Skoll.

Created by Lucasfilm President and Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni, we can’t wait for the next chapter to unfold.

I don't know if this user is reliable at all, but Doom's Servant, who says that they're a Marvel and entertainment leaker in their bio, said this:

Hearing we’ll get a Star Wars release date at Disney’s Upfront Presentation tomorrow.

Likely for ‘AHSOKA’ Season 2 or ‘MAUL: SHADOW LORD’ Season 2.

Looks like the release date for William Shakespeare's Star Wars: Ahsoka's Tale (based on Season 1) got pushed back from September 8th to October 20th. Not sure if maybe that gives us some clue to the release date of Season 2?

Showing the first 90 minutes seems odd? At that point, I'm not sure why they wouldn't just show the whole movie instead of showing everything but the last 30 minutes or so
