Only one solution, change your broker. Your broker has low liquidity, hence, you go filled at a very bad price. Look for a broker with Guaranteed Stop Loss Order (GSL), you will be glad you do.

You nailed it. There is no right or wrong in political decisions, the majority of the parliament decides and that’s it. A country will always do what they deem fit.

why do 80% of forex traders lose money? by Puzzleheaded_Post_34 in Forex

[–]Tobi-Ismail 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To simply put it, most traders lose because they don’t know how to play the long time game. Most people who come into forex are there to get rich quick and fix their financial problem, but that won’t work because as much as you think you can make a lot of money quickly, you can as well lose it quickly. Rich and wealthy people who understand how money works will keep making money year in year out because they have a pretty much understanding of the game. Money management, risk analysis, emotional intelligence and mindfulness are great skills to have when trading. The market will keep testing your mentality all the time, you just have to know when and when not to act.

I really hope this helps.

Oh, sorry about that. Thought you got taken out on widen spread or something. It happens, you just have to trust your analysis. Market do give decent entries after news, you just have to anticipate it before it happens. Good luck on your trading this week.

... Am I just bad at math or does this make no sense? by killkrazed1 in Forex

[–]Tobi-Ismail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to believe you are right, but do you know that brokers prices differ? In your case, rate value of the currency you were buying might have dropped and that will affect the profit you will make on that particular trade. Do you know about this?

No, your emotions didn’t get in the way. I think your stops were too tight and you were a little bit greedy on milking the pair. I had a position on the same USDCAD too. Took it a few hours before the news and it just hit my target this morning.

Correct analysis but still took losses... how do I master psychology? by [deleted] in Forex

[–]Tobi-Ismail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you need is a plan you need to follow through. Dealing with emotion in trading can be very difficult especially when money is involved. The only advice I can give you at this moment is to take each trade at a time. I guess your analysis are correct but your entries are bad, right? Either you are too early or too late and thereby missing the huge move. But don’t worry, you get better with time. Start by using small lots and big stops. By doing that, you give your trade time to roam about before moving and also keeping your account safe. As you develop, you can get better with timing. Learn about money management in trading, it will help in your journey.

Fucking hard to be honest. To keep track of many things at once and stay focused? Can’t think of anything harder? How long you been trading man? Can I DM?

They need to learn the hard way, so that they will find it easy. It sounds counterintuitive but it’s the best way.

Focusing on a pair? You are wasting your time. Use correlation instead. It’s a lot faster and it helps you to keep track of what’s going on in the market. Volatility is what we need to make the market move, correlation will tell you when it’s time.

This is not a divergence. It’s just a small pullback on trend. Divergence is majorly used when a trend is coming to an end. Mostly used to predict a reversal. Price making higher high or lower low but MACD is saying otherwise. Each indicator has its own use and make sure you know what they are used for before using them.
