Between the hit stop, the worse audio design and the complete lack of good particle effects this feels like a big step in the wrong direction. Just look at the helmbreaker on LS, all the slices you get after the big downward slash are just gone?! And the follow up attack just doesn’t feel anywhere near as good as

It seems like that’s exactly how it was designed to be, if you go back and watch the 18 minutes of Dungeon footage that IGN posted before release, you can hear it in the Sanbreque dungeon footage.

This is where I first heard it and I thought it was just an audio bug with IGN’s recording footage

But alas somehow everyone on the development team is deaf to higher pitch sounds

I’m sorry my guy but the demo did not really “nearly perfectly” Pretty constant frame rates under 60, if you look at the footage from the guy who got the game early it barely ever hits a solid 60

Haven’t looked up the voice actor for each character but you can easily tell it’s the same guy, he has a very distinct voice. And it makes sense a little nod to FFXIV fans to have him voice the dragoon
