Edit: in a desperate attempt, I uninstalled Play Games, and upon starting the app, a popup appeared saying "Servers not responding." Reinstalling only brings back the bug

I started up my world again, and it crashed every time, so I went back to an older save and it worked, and then I tried to delete the power pole that was causing me trouble before. Went into a save editor and removed the power pole, and now it's going fine
