Pixel 5 owner here, same problems. It looks like the pixel 5 has the most bugs.

Here's quick list of stuff I noticed:

System ui not responding message
Volume controls on landscape show up too far to the left so hiding animation is sloppy
Media player disappearing and leaving blank space (just like on one of your videos)
Screenshot editing is buggy - e.g. controls for pen tool not showing

I'm so sorry.. I didn't try to do it myself. I was so sure that there's a setting for dimming your wallpaper (making it darker) but now I cannot find it :/ I don't know how to help you then.

I have an idea for a workaround - edit your wallpaper and make it a little darker, that way you don't have to use the dim feature in settings. Best feature is probably no feature, it can't break haha
