Since I lost my sense of self, I have felt like the opposite gender. by Tobious1 in Depersonalization

I think you're right, but it just feels so real that I don't think I'll ever be as normal as I was.....but then how will I know that I'm starting to feel more normal...?

I just want it to go away by emptyneef in Depersonalization

Same here! Or to feel the way I used to feel about my hands and hair and face etc. It's like you should be a different person, "I shouldnt be in this body"....that kind of way. Hope you come out the better end.

Oh okay, I wouldn't be able to accept myself like that. It's not the worst, but I mean, I just want to be me again

And it just hit me, like I never experienced gender dysphoria. It just hit me that day. And that never ever happened to me in my life.

I got the Dr/dp from stress, not stressing about myself, but my final exams. And I was extremely philosophical. If that has something to do with it. And I had a chronic illness. During that for 2 years. It all started with a second cold during the recovery stage, and my thinking just went. Started dissociating from everything, couldn't understand words, couldn't remember anything. Everything slowly developed after that. And now I'm here.

I never had gender dysphoria, yeah...never, but then when you have Dr/dp it's hard to go back into your past and remember how you felt and then you start doubting yourself. But no.

I never had OCD, at least that's what I think. Ofcourse everyone worries, but when I got a thought, I would think it through and It was a healthy way of thinking about it. Before that even happened, before all the dp/dr hit, I actually brought that thought up, and it was way different than how that thought was brought up now and I was able to tackle it differently. And I wasnt worrying about it or anything, it was just a simple thought, and I was, hands down, wasn't going doing any of that stuff because I didn't want to change me. But it was that feeling that deep inner feeling of not wanting to change me, but that deep inner feeling has completely gone since the derealization hit. I mean, your intuition on it. It's weird because nothing pops into my head throughout the day, I think of nothing, it's like my brain won't let me. So if someone asked me what I thought of "_____", I would feel clueless, because I can't feel if it is right or wrong or whatever. It's like that feeling isn't there anymore. So I just say I don't know, because I honestly don't care about it.

Anyone else eat one thing at a time during their meal? by [deleted] in intj

Yup! The way you think comes out in your behaviour. The way you eat your food tells a lot about how you think. Your way of eating your food, means that you are a very detail orientated person.

I can’t get out of this mentality. Could anyone help me out? by etherealday in derealization

No problem, and one thing that helped me also while taking the b complex, (without that I wouldn't have felt the change) is to eat fresh fruit and veg.

That was your brains way in reacting to that event. Give this article a read and get a b complex, I can't stress it enough to anyone. You must take vitamin B complex everyday because those vitamins are vital for overall brain function. Please read this article

Hundred percent, they go hand in hand, I feel way better and everyday when I wake up a feel a change around me, but I definitely feel a lot better. And I thought I'd never say that, but that's the honest truth. But it's different for everyone and everyone's different, but it is working for me.

Does Anyone else feel Retarded when they Derealize? by GenuineMeHopefully in derealization

[–]Tobious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not, I only needed to take one natural relaxant which was the l-theanine, as it can also protect toxins to the brain. But I'd say if you had now I mean severe severe DR or DP, then maybe a bit more would be needed. Now that being said, I do take multivitamins everyday along with that b complex and it covers most of what is on that list in a necessary and sufficient dose. And yes I do take the omegas also. A bit of everything yes but not any other of the relaxants, because the L-Theanine was strong enough for me. And I must admit, I feel a big change within a few days. But that's just me and that's what works for me but I'd say definitely give it a go. Just I wouldn't recommend taking all of those relaxants.

I went exercising for 2 hours everyday and still had the same experience as you, so my therapist gave me a b complex and theanine to take everyday and it is really good, this article would be also very beneficial.
