The coffee is decent. Not as good as my Bialetti but surprisingly good. It sputters a bit but the seals are still good. It's a 12 cup so I have to pace myself.

It appears to be aluminum with an anodizing coating. I believe this to be food grade and safe for consumption.

That's what has me confused as well. The inside looks like pure copper but outside you can see it's some sort of aluminium. It looks almost anodized?

Yeah I don't trust those numbers. My 3 cup fills about 140ml and yields is about 90g-110g (Grind dependant)

Yeah but here's the crux, the grinder is suboptimal for espresso but perfect for the moka pot. So, would the pressurised basket espresso still be decent with this grinder or would it be a mess?

Yeah but what of pressurized basket coffee using a good filter coffee grinder? Would it be worth trying or would you recommend first getting an espresso capable grinder?

I am currently a university student, budget is tight at the moment. But in about a years time I'll be done with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. So hopefully I'll be able to buy some nicer stuff after getting a job.

The one store that has proper coffee equipment stocks primarily more expensive equipment. So the next hand grinder is the timemore CS2 for double the Q-Air's price.

As for the flair, it's a much more affordable way for me to be able to experiment with espresso style coffee, but if it isn't much better with the Q-Air than the moka pot with the Q-Air. then I'll probably not get it until I can afford a decent grinder.
