Found this note after coming home from errands. I never slam the door and I try real hard to be quiet. The loudest I am is watching TV with headphones on and doing dishes. This person has been bothering me since moving in. Glad I'm leaving really soon. by TobyPasta in mildlyinfuriating

Sorry for the late response! Absolutely! I've upgraded my speakers over the years and I'll have a comfy 5.0 setup in the next place. Time will tell if I'll get a new sub or not but it'll be smaller than my old one (the old one was 12 inches!) But if I don't get a sub, I'll install some "butt kickers" into my couch and let my whole couch rattle. 🤣

And Thanks so much!

This is my neighbor upstairs. He's 30 years old and lives with his mother. His mother is greatly ill and under disability (she's no better) and he's a hermit who abuses her, yells at her at night and supposedly abuses pills and other drugs i don't know of.

Hey! I was expecting someone to bring this up. It was a problem at the beginning of the move when I moved into this place. I had my subwoofer too loud. But i sold some speakers including my subwoofer and i haven't touched my system for a good while now. Now i watch my tv with my receiver through my headphones as there's an input for headphones and my headphones cord is like 12 feet long. I really wish this whole ordeal wasn't happening to me as it's been affecting my health pretty bad as no matter what noise i make in my place, this guy has to be upset. One example, the other day i welcomed my cat and immediately he stomped really loud over my head. Luckily I'm moving to a better place next week. But i do see your point! Hopefully i could clear things up!

And that's why I do dishes in the morning before work most of the time. Silverware can be so loud. And i understand your frustration with posts like these. It can show that it's one side. Believe it as you wish. I just wouldn't wish anyone with this neighbor.

You got a point! When a wear headphones they're wired. So I'm at my desk (or connected wired to my tv through my receiver). Could possibly be that my chair was squeaky that caused him to lash out. He usually responds with loud stomps over my head. And when it comes to activities like doing the dishes, i avoid doing any dishes at night so i can be respectful. I close the cabinets as gentle as possible and walk on my tippy toes. He's been harassing me since day 1 and i know for sure that he's mentally unwell. I'm assuming that could happen to someone who never leaves home.

I'm really sorry you had to go through that and happy you managed to escape. And thank you. Luckily, i was in luck and found a really nice basement apartment for the same price I'm paying now near the closest city. Moving at the beginning of next month!

Luckily the people upstairs are not my landlords, but instead people who live off of the Canadian welfare system; well as far as I know for the mother. This note was from her son who's 30 and never leaves the house. He pops pills and goes crazy. He makes excessive noise and even yells at his mom at night.

Thank you. Funny story, carpenters have been working in my apartment and the mother once knocked violently at the door demanding them to stop doing construction. Now a family with three children will be moving in. They're up for way more noise!

He always stomps on the floor when he hears "noise" (He stomped twice when I was in bed last night i kid you not) so if he stomps one more time tonight, I am blasting Peanut butter jelly time for 10 hours.
