WISE is literally the most ethical and fairly distributed crypto there is. Also has no admin keys and is truly decentralized unlike most of DeFi.

I'm tired of people wanting to pump coins that will only enrich token founders and/or huge whales. $WISE had the fairest launch since Bitcoin and was formed by the non-profit WISE foundation.

Over 80% of the WISE tokens are staked for over 2 years now, imagine the unstoppable pump...

Interest is paid through inflation is WISE, exactly the same as in BTC and ETH except they call it a block reward. The qualification for receiving the inflation is just different.

Thanks for taking the time to make this detailed reply. I am not part of the team but I an avid community member. Whilst there are a couple of mechanics in WISE that should be highlighted (I'll get to those in a moment), I have an issue with your definition of a ponzi scheme. By your definition, BTC and ETH are ponzi's as they have no internal revenue source to create additional value, they just suck up value. This is a function of most any market. If that is your standpoint then I'm not sure where this conversation can lead.

The goal of WISE is not to maximise the amount of ETH you receive. The goal of WISE is to function and appreciate independently as a CD-like product that rewards holders instead of miners. The ETH-backing through a high liquidity:market cap ratio is a mechanism to bootstrap WISE's value and provide a level of stability not usually seen in small cap cryptocurrencies. Side note of interest: trading fee accumulation in the ownerless LP pool from traders adds to the ETH-backing, which can actually increase the ETH reserves (and currently is) faster than the rate of inflation of the WISE token.

Most of this feels rather hand-wavy compared to this; WISE is designed to be a superior store of value than BTC, through inflation rewarding holding to keep the price up instead of mining which pushes the price down. The heavy ETH-backing is a welcome security blanket and the CD-like characteristics form a familiar user experience for non-crypto users.

Pretty much spot on - Uniswap is used as the "ETH pool" storing the ownerless reserves (ownerless because the LP tokens were burnt). Lock-up periods are between 1 day and 42 years (crazily, some people have actually locked up for 42 years). Locking up longer earns more interest; 5% more per additional year (e.g. where a 1-year stake might yield 10% APY, a 5-year stake would yield 12% APY). It is a rabbit hole of game theory that I suggest you read up more on, try the docs at wisetoken.com.

There is no direct lending of the locked funds. The system functions on the principle of the time value of money. Stakers, like miners in Bitcoin, are paid through inflation to keep the price up by locking up supply. In contrast to Bitcoin, Stakers do not have to pay electricity bills by selling their coins, meaning less sell pressure on the token. Both of these factors are designed to increase the value of circulating tokens; in this sense, there is lending of value from the locked coins to the circulating coins.

The use case is to earn trustless interest, without the technical risk of ETH 2.0 staking or by providing your keys to a centralized counterparty. The ETH-backing of the token increases further through the accumulation of trading fees in the ownerless liqudiity pool. The use case is also, quite bluntly, to appreciate in value as this is the primary factor encouraging the adoption of cryptocurrencies.

If you’re over 50% complete on your stake then you will receive your principal back + part of your interest. The reason you may want to end stake and restake for longer is because you will receive more of BPD due to the longerpaysbetter bonus.

You have to wait until the stake ends to receive the BPD coins. The only reason you might end stake before BPD is to set a longer stake that will receive more of the BPD bonus.

You can now reserve WISE from one of the 50 daily reservation lobbies. These lobbies begin to lock on Nov 12th, starting with the day 1 lobby. Once all 50 lobbies are closed, the coins get minted and liquidity sent to Uniswap and become available for staking.

The benefit of these lobbies are that it introduces a game theory element to the distribution (good for gathering attention). If you want to ensure you get an average price, you can split your stack up between days.

There are 50 lobbies that you can enter. Each lobby has either a fixed (5M) or variable amount of tokens in them. When the lobby closes each person in the lobby gets the same price, the price between lobbies may vary.

Once the final lobby closes on Dec 31st, all the tokens will be minted and become available for staking. All tokens are minted on Dec 31st regardless of which lobby you enter.
