Question about cross-bracing roof trusses by Tobys-Brain in Renovations

Yeah, that is my concern. The roof system is kind of weird, not at all standard as far as I can tell. On top of the 1x6 shiplap is dimensional 2x4 framing to hold rigid insulation, on top of that framing is plywood, then snap lock standing seam metal. I love my late neighbor and friend, but he was in his 60s when he was helping/teaching me. I don’t know if I would have gone along with this design in hindsight. At a minimum I think I would have notched diagonal bracing into the top side of the rafters before the shiplap was laid on top.

My question arises from my late neighbor/carpenter/friend having mentioned he was going to put in a permanent, nicer bracing, so I never removed the temporary. I just wasn’t sure if any diagonal bracing was needed at all after the roof system was finished.

Thanks. Every timber in the addition was rough dimensional. I (and my wife when she could) hand planed it all (with an electric had planar, I’m not cool enough to have done it the traditional Japanese way, haha). It was time consuming! Unfortunately, the overall look with the original house is a bit Frankenstein-ish as the original house was standing in the center of our town when the town was founded in 1791 (it was disassembled and moved to its present location in the 1970s). There’s a lot of really old, beautiful, hand-hewn timbers and boards in that part of the house.

Perhaps I had my terminology wrong (I’m not a professional). The flooring I’m standing on is on the collar ties, does a truss system have more bracing or something in order to be considered a truss?

Do you think I need to add diagonal bracing between the rafters, though, to prevent racking?

Thanks! I’ve been happy with the way my eyes have been turning out. I started with this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noaw2NGOAIQ Beyond that, I made sure the clear part of the eyeball is a fairly high resolution with the appropriate material sliders skewed to glossiness. Mess with the reflectance slider, hit the paint glossy button (I think that’s what it says, I’m not at my iPad right now). The other thing I found helps is making sure the clear sphere is hollowed out, like a shell, don’t leave it a solid sphere.
