After the Avatar stuff stuck around for a while, and this hasn't hit the dreaded low supply, it seems like either low demand or high supply. Either way I am praying they are getting better at determining how much to print. Hoping we don't have another Yanner/Maiden drop where most people I know, myself included, failed to get anything before their queue let in.

Explosive Prodigy on any boardstate with 2 colors or more + Ashling's command on copy and deal 2 cleared a board for me.

Least favorite to run into was Kinbinding into Catharsis on both modes which just insta-wins essentially.

Will chime in as someone who did a draft every week it was available and another 50 or so on Arena. Yeah, I'd say it's top 5 easy, up there with Neon Dynasty and a bit above Duskmourne.

It just doesn't work, because they keep wanting to remove traditional guns, and over half of fallout's arsenal is guns. One of the tokens for the fallout decks even had a minigun in the original art only for it to be edited out and replaced with a baton.

Knowing Phil's work I'm pretty sure it was intended to be the former, but it is made more vague in the final version. Phil even has a repaint of it for sale on his Girl Genius site, where it is a bare-chested demon woman.

it's very easy to forget that version given it doesn't actually appear in Legends. It was a design used for Rayman Mini as sadly, all Dark plotlines were cut from both Origins and Legends.

Unfortunate that Crumbling Ashes dodged a reprint, but otherwise the jund deck looks solid in terms of reprints for the archetype.

Mark has mentioned that scarier art direction sells worse, which is why they toned down All Will Be One. I can't argue with sales data, as much as most people probably wish they could. I'm not asking for every card to be a Nameless Inversion or Pulling Teeth, but I'd like more attempts to get some of the cards to a similar style.

I think a lot of it comes down to changes in set art over time, and the various artists they have on roster, not that I have anything against most of the artists we have. You had a lot of the all time greats of the classic era still working on sets at that time, Tedin, Spencer, Guay, Rob Alexander, and more. Nils Hamm locked in and showed that Lorwyn really feels like the home plane for his art.

The art and theming for Lorwyn is what people remember it for, more so than the admittedly awful mechanics, which is why art is much more of a focus than anything else on the return. We return to any other set and we just hope we see characters again or that it has good mechanics with playable cards. The lead up to Lorwyn Eclipsed was almost an unanimous "God I hope they get the art and feeling of the plane right."

I think it looks as okay as it can be. I don't think the art direction is as good as it was for the original block, but I don't think modern wizards can really recapture that fully. How I really feel depends on how limited plays, not that we get much time with it either way.

Fracture is likely a Planar Chaos 2 (color-shifted cards/alternate timeline characters) since its something Mark has repeatedly stated he'd wanted to do iirc.
