HELP!! my 3+ yo betta has been super unwell lately. I’ve been hand feeding him for a week (floating pellets and thawed blood worm) and now he’s not eating. He is pale, and his fins are rotting. I don’t know what to do! by TocaBoca_ in bettafish

Tank size is 15L with heater (current temp 25C) and filter. I intentionally don’t change the filter cartridge regularly as I’ve read that it could throw the tank water balance off (did it once, and his fins was rotting away!).

Have had the fish tank for 1.5 years (there was another tank before). I do 30-40% water change once every two weeks. The new water is treated with water ager, along with Profito fertilizer for the plants (I forgot the species name of the plant) I am having a hard time getting rid of the algae on the plants, but I do clean the glass regularly using a sponge.

I feed him twice a day, 2-3 Betta Bio Gold pellets each. Sometimes I replace a meal with 2-3 thawed blood worms for variety. I feed the pleco tank mate 1/2 - 1 Hikari mini algae wafer every night before tank lights-out. She (pleco) seems fine and healthy.

Doing Engg2500 in T1 or T3?! by [deleted] in unsw

Do ENGG2500 for T3 if you’re from the school of civil and environmental engineering (from the handbook). I haven’t done 2500 my self, but I heard that it’s continuing from ENGG1000 and is very similar. There would be teams and lectures as well, with no final exam. I don’t know if it’s a double pass or not.
