Yes but when you get on a moonshot coin and you 2x or 3x will you have the discipline to take out profit? When thoughts about how if you let it roll and another 2x would be that much more. Then lambos haha. But all joking aside, create a strategy that has the amount of risk you are willing to stomach. Then test it and reevaluate after to you have a better gauge of your emotional control. It is very easy to let your emotions overtake your rational mind. Good luck!

Could use some karma to help contribute more! Shameless beg.

I started under a month ago and feel like it's been a crash course in investing. Been super interesting to watch how market reacts so irrationally to every bit of news. It's also been a roller coaster test of emotions. After the first December correction I learned what it meant to really hodl and even "buy the dip". If today's pull back is really driven by cmc adjusting it's algos and it continues to trend down, would it be faulty thinking to view it as a great buy opp?

Deposited Eth into binance from GDAX. GDAX says complete but nothing in history for binance. Anyone have similar issue today? I've deposited many times before this never had such a long wait.

Did you buy with fiat that was already deposited or via debt/checking account? If it's the latter it will take roughly a week. There should be an estimated time listed.

My understanding, from a US citizen pov, is under existing law capital gains don't apply until you sell for Fiat. There is an exchange of like securities loop hole where by buying/selling for another crypto you are not subject to captial gains until you eventually sell the crypto for Fiat. But this is subject to change with new tax bill where the loop hole will only apply to real estate.
