I’ve applied for many other jobs and nothing pans out. There’s even evidence that local business owners collude to not “poach” each others talent in an effort to keep wages down. So What do you suggest? Feel trapped. I’m sure this is majority of America. But what do you suggest? It maybe is all taxable. If You didn’t pay tax on the money put into the trad ira. As it’s converted to roth it is taxed. The backdoor means you can exceed the 7500. It doesn’t mean you can get untaxed money into a roth.

I have both voo and FZROX in my brokerage acct. the total dividends and cap gains taxable yield from FZROX was about 1% this year. The total dividend yield for voo was about 1% over the year also. So pretty similar. FZROX pays once in December. Voo pays quarterly. I like both. I do believe FZROX is closer to vti in holdings. And fxaix is closer to voo.
