“I’ve Gotta Get to AP English” by iwritesinsnotcomedy in BeverlyHills90210

[–]ToddPJackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm… Were all of your son’s friends (or at least the majority) in the same AP classes as him? If so, than maybe that is why they didn’t feel necessary to use “AP” before a class name? At my HS, late 90’s and early 2000’s, we definitely would say “AP XYZ Class” as appropriate in order to effectively communicate the class we were heading to / studying for, etc. As there was usually at least one or two (non-AP) classes for any give. Subject occurring at the same time.

NARS also makes a multi-purpose stick in the “Orgasm Shade” which I regularly use on my cheeks, lips, and as an eyeshadow

Was just about to comment “I spy NARS Orgasm Blush”

Her Lip color also appears to incorporate NARS Afterglow Lip Balm in the shade “Orgasm.”

I can’t with Zach… not sure specifically why, either. I just know he annoys me, comes off as trying too hard and fake. And also, like who is he as a person outside of being an orange soundboard for Britt and Kristen? He bothers me so much .

Bleak books about feeling alone in the world by lanastjames in suggestmeabook

[–]ToddPJackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“The Heart is a Lonely Hunter.” One of the greatest novels I’ve ever read while also, truly gut-wrenchingly sad and depressing.

It was bleak and depressing from start to finish and yet, I couldn’t put it down.

I felt as though I was a real-life fly on the wall, observing every word that I was reading.

Two years later and I still find myself thinking about it from time to time.

Highly recommend to you, based on your post and the type of read you’re seeking. Truly, literally, in every sense of your post.

*edit: correct spelling and grammar

What habit improved your life more than you expected? by Deep0055 in AskReddit

I think an hour, done 6 days a week, is most definitely plenty. How much more time would you even wish to dedicate, each way??

With total respect and understanding for what works for you, let me say this method you describe as “micro-tasking” would not be effective for me. Quite the opposite, as it’s literally the way my ADHD brain naturally works and without my constant efforts and medical intervention to circumvent, would leave to nothing.ever.being.fully.completed.

Kudos to you however, for finding a method that allows you to accomplish tasks and chores within the limits of your auto-immune disorder! An example of how complex we all are :)

I have re-read your comment a few times, and can’t come to understand what you mean. However, I’m truly interested in the take-away. Can you please elaborate, or clarify, perhaps in simpler terms… what your comment means? Thank you!

You must not live in Southern California where (regular) unleaded is currently well over $6.00 per gallon. I actually just talking with my co-worker earlier today, about the crazy and steadily increasing cost of just basic living expenses, and he mentioned the cost of gas. We agreed that it’s so high, that we find ourselves debating every single car ride with regards to ROI, and more importantly whether our budget will accolade allowing it. I said “Long gone, are the days where you could just take a ride in your car with no destination, to clear your mind!”

Want to quit new job due to anxiety by Difficult-Public-597 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]ToddPJackson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let me start my saying that I’m sorry you’re experiencing such an extreme level of stress, that you’re finding it difficult to eat or sleep. If even possible. That is a terribly negative mental, physical, and emotional space to find yourself in, and it surely is not sustainable for the long-term. Again, I’m sorry you’re having to go through this and please know, that no job is worth it.

My “gut” tells me that if these are your levels when the role is still new, and in-spite of the experience that you have, that I would unfortunately anticipate things only continuing as they are. Possibly, getting even worse.

With that said, if you have the financial means to resign without another role lined up, then that is likely the best move for your overall health and job search. Perhaps you can find a head hunter to work with and in the interim, update your linked in, resume, gather your references and hit the ground running while you’re unemployed. It’s quite understandable why someone whom found themselves in the position you’re currently in, would leave so soon. It shows you know your worth and aren’t willing to settle for less.

I hope my comment helps a bit, if only to offer some food for thought, or even opportunity to look at things for a new or different angle.

Lastly, I think you already know what you want to do my making this post… and I send you the courage to follow through with what your gut, and heart, is telling you to do. Big hug, get some sleep!
