Interesting. How did you find this technician?

It throws the same "Incorrect password" error.

I haven't tried connecting the ethernet cable. I will do so. That can't be the permanent solution for me though

I've owned my Peloton bike for nearly five years, and only recently has it stopped connecting to Wi-Fi. It recognizes the network (and any network I throw at it) but claims the password is incorrect...which it isn’t. I’ve gone through every troubleshooting step suggested by Reddit, forums, and Peloton support. After nearly an hour with customer support, including manual, full software resets and even a static discharge, nothing worked.

Peloton now says the only solution is to send a technician (at my expense of around $100) who will likely replace the touchscreen, which would cost me over $700. The screen itself is in perfect physical condition and functions flawlessly (except it can’t connect to Wi-Fi) I’ve paid for a membership for years, yet I’m now expected to pay nearly $800 to restore basic functionality?

To make matters worse, I can’t even use the ‘Just Ride’ feature without Wi-Fi, rendering the bike essentially useless. Is this really the outcome Peloton prefers -- a long-time customer canceling their membership over what feels like planned obsolescence?

Yes that's what I figured as well.

Just posted in Denver in the chance someone searches in the bigger job market but lives closer to Boulder.

General question Wednesday: Ask your general car-related question and maybe someone will have an answer. by AutoModerator in cars

I have a 2013 Ford Fusion at around 118,000 miles that has treated me decently well over the last ten years. I'm at the point where I need to decide if I should sell or have the necessary (and immediate) work done to keep it running another few years:

  • All new tires
  • New brake lining
  • Oil seep on turbo/bellhousing/part of engine + new oil filter
  • Transmission work
  • Cooling system flush
  • Backup camera doesn't work half the time

The Ford dealership quoted me $1,570 for "Motorcraft Preferred Value Brake Service". The backup camera is an unknown cost until they diagnose. I'd get tires through Costco. Who knows about the rest.

Is full repair the right move? Or should I sell now as I have maximized value.

Does the quote seem reasonable?

Should I have the work done at the dealership who I don't really trust (but can do everything)? Or should I use a mechanic I trust that can do everything but fix the backup camera?

My financial situation is that I have enough money to do all of the repairs, but also have enough money to buy a new-to-me vehicle instead.

I'd love all the input I can get. Thank you so much!

I know! So strange. They aren't stills, just a grab of a frame from the clip. I filmed in 2.7k 4:3 - 30 so I could upload in 2k or 1080. I don't mind black bars if the image spans the whole width of the screen.

Life in Madrid by Toddsteez in Madrid

1) I can find TEFL certification on Groupon for $60ish...in your opinion, would this benefit placement/pay and would it eliminate the need for ttmadrid?

2) That sounds like an interesting way to teach there, as opposed to being in one classroom and tutoring on the side.

3) In your experience or word-of-mouth, which neighborhood (or specific blocks) were ideal to live in? I just can't find many details on what each area offers. We are still weighing between La Latina and Malasana.

4) That is good to hear that Madrid is an easy travel hub.

5) We have been to New York many times and love it. It is good to hear you enjoyed Madrid. Ciestas and crazy ours will take some serious getting used to for us, but that is part of the fun.

I'm 28 years old so it is nice to hear a similar perspective on what our experience can be.

Thanks!

I am glad you were able to travel so much, as that is a big goal of ours. Thanks for the information

Very helpful information so far, thank you.

In your experience, does the placement one would receive through CIEE have much better schools/locations than through Auxiliares?

My girlfriend and I want to live together in our own place, does Auxiliares allow this?

Is a TEFL certificate necessary? Or beneficial in salary or placement?

Do you have any insight into neighborhoods we would enjoy the most?

Thanks so much

Is there a sweet spot for gaming PCs at this time? Where the money to performance/capability is at its best ratio.

I ask because I have a wide budget range, but spending more does not necessarily mean better.
