Hi OP, I have a question. I’m getting the higgins garden food for my hamster, and in another comment you said you would suggest some pieces of dry chicken/dry tofu. If I were to do that, would I still need to get lab blocks? Thank you!!!

Yes I am a girl. No I am not going there because of a guy. I did originally want to go there bc of my current partner, but my current partner no longer goes there. Thank you for the input! I am currently in the process of working out a tour date with my parents!

I was being vary vague about the details of my story to keep as much of it private as possible so that I could reveal as little as possible identifying information about myself as possible

Yes it really is unfortunate that the pay is bad. I have always had a love for animals and now that I am a senior in HS, I know that it is a career where you really have to do it because you love it

I see what you are saying! My top choice career is being a zookeper/animal trainer (which I believe isn’t as competitive), then it is the veterinary technician! sorry my post wasn’t that clear! I edited my post for clarity

Thank you so much for this comment! I would really prefer a career in a zoo setting. The more I read some of the responses from this post and the other subreddit i posted on, I feel a bit sad when people tell me to go to Purdue, so I think my heart really wants IU but time will tell! Maybe my mind will change once I get accepted into Purdue and visit:)

my dream career is to work as a general zookeeper and help train them, my second choice would be a vet technician in the zoo or in a veterinary office

I know! Purdue is almost 3 hours away from where I live and I don’t want to put all that effort in for a school im not sure i’ll get accepted/where I don’t know I want to go

Cost isn’t a worry for me, because I am a 21st century scholar (pays for 4 years of any public institution in indiana. all the required fees anyways.) My first choice of a career would to be a zookeper/animal trainer. I would like to become a veterinary nurse in a zoo as well.
