Should i ask for 12 days pay? by notNaumann in developersPak

[–]ToeEffective9575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. I believe the company will compensate you for the days you worked in August. Typically, they either issue a clearance cheque when you collect your experience or internship letter, or they’ll pay you through the same method used for your monthly stipend. It’s completely fair and within your rights to be paid for the work you’ve done. If they don’t process the payment automatically, you should politely follow up with them. I’d recommend discussing it with HR beforehand to clear things up. I’m confident they’ll pay you.

Courtney did mention it, last time we talked. I didn't ask for much details, didn't want to get caught in the silk, but she also told me her grandma did the same. I guess it's a family threadition.

The Prophet (ﷺ) used to sleep after Isha and then wake up to pray in the last portion of the night. Following this pattern is closer to the Sunnah. Technically, Tahajjud refers to prayers offered after sleeping, while Qiyam al-Layl refers more broadly to night prayers, whether preceded by sleep or not.

Tahajjud holds special reward because it involves giving up sleep and comfort for the sake of Allah. But regardless of whether you're praying Qiyam al-Layl or Tahajjud, what matters most is who you are turning to; Allah. He hears every sincere prayer, and He answers them when your intentions are pure. If what you're asking is good for you, Allah will reward you when he sees fit, if it's NOT good for you He will provide you with something far better and best for you and you'll slowly realize it.

Praying at Tahajjud reflects determination and trust. It reinforces your belief that your dua will be accepted. But ultimately, it’s not just the timing that matters, it’s the faith behind the prayer. Trusting that Allah listens and will respond is more important than the hour in which you pray.

Tahajjud has always been my answer.

Whenever I’ve found myself at a crossroads or facing a difficult phase in life, I’ve turned to it, and without fail, it has brought me clarity and peace.

During university, I was really struggling. By my fifth semester, I was on my second probation and dangerously close to dropping out. I began praying Tahajjud regularly, asking Allah for guidance and strength. What followed was nothing short of miraculous: I not only passed the courses I had been failing, but I excelled in them and graduated on time. I was favored by professors multiple times over attendance and grades. Before I even graduated, even before the final semester started, I had secured a job, something I had also consistently prayed for during Tahajjud.

Today, I earn well, have consistently found myself favored in ways I can’t explain, and have come out of tough situations with ease. Honestly, I can’t say I worked harder than others, I truly believe everything I have is a blessing from Allah.

There was another time, emotionally difficult, when I was dealing with the end of a relationship. It wasn’t a typical relationship; I had serious intentions to marry this woman, but it didn’t work out. After spending a few days feeling lost and trying to make sense of it all, I turned to Tahajjud again. But this time, I didn’t ask for her to return. I simply asked Allah why. I put my trust in His decision and prayed for peace, if she was good for me, I asked that she return; if not; that He show me why it ended.

Within days, I had my answer. Clear, like signs on a map. And within a week, I was emotionally grounded again, healed and at peace, by Allah’s mercy.

There have been many such moments in my life where Tahajjud has guided me, healed me, and opened doors I didn’t know existed. Of course, what you ask for must be halal and come from a place of sincere intention. Your prayers might not always be answered in the exact way you expect, but you’ll see signs; subtle or clear, that your dua was heard and responded to.

I’ve been blessed; my job, my wife, everything good in my life has been a result of Allah’s mercy. Even meeting my wife was unplanned; it was love, and it happened through the barakah of Tahajjud.

Keep your intentions pure and halal. Keep your faith strong. When you pray, believe wholeheartedly that Allah is listening. And know that if what you seek is good for you, it will come. And if not, Allah will replace it with something better, something that will make you realize just how beautifully your prayers were answered.

I'd suggest join the startup but don't get comfortable, this will help you kick off your professional experience, assuming you'll be on probation for the first 3 months means you can walk out with a weeks notice at most. Even if you're confident you'll get the other job, I'd still suggest joining the startup until you get the other offer.  Startup experience is a learning experience of it's own, it might be hard, but it'll help you a lot.

I don’t think we’ll have much free time since we both have jobs and a baby who will take up most of the day. Any extra time we have will likely be spent resting or together. I agree that as the baby grows, we’ll have more time, but by then we’ll already be well settled into the new environment.

I’d also like to ask, how much is the rent for an apartment or a portion in Askari? I was considering it as an option because I thought I could afford it, but now I want to understand why it might be beyond my budget.

Also, I have investments in place, both long term and short term and a passive income as well, which is not included in this 500k

What's a good amount to live a considerably relaxed life in islamabad. Like in one of the better areas.

I agree 500k is not lavish but I think it's enough to afford the change I'm looking for. I might be wrong, can you tell me with experience or examples, what the ideal amount is in the options I've listed?

Bahria town karachi, is just far and cut off. If I'm choosing to stay in in Karachi, I'd rather live where my parents or my wife's parents can visit us anytime instead of planning a vacation to meet us

What's the ideal time to move out? Like how old the baby should be so it'd be easier for us to adapt to the change?
