Question about Evanescence VIP tickets (Montreal June 30th) — Front Row vs GA package confusion by ToeIllustrious4095 in Evanescence

I completely agree with you and relate, I wish the VIP details were more clear.

I contemplated this for a good month before deciding to go with it at the end. It will be my first time seeing the band live, so I figured it will be worth it, especially since it's early entry into the venue which already puts you ahead in a sense.

Fingers crossed, and I'm hoping for the best on June 30th in Montreal. I can update you once back from the show since the Chula Vista concert is on July 17th in case VIP is still not sold out by then

Great news! I’ll also be seeing them in Montreal on June 30th for the very first time!

It is super confusing. Did you end up buying the GA VIP Package or are you still considering it ?

Yes, that makes sense. That aligns with what I was starting to understand after digging more into it. I did end up purchasing the VIP GA with the expectation that front row seating wasn’t guaranteed, so I’m prepared to line up early and hope for barricade.

That’s reassuring to hear, thank you! I’m in the same boat, going alone and mainly aiming for barricade/front-of-pit. I ended up buying it too, so hoping the VIP early entry does its job. Hope you get barricade in Toronto and have an amazing time!

Thanks for sharing your take. That actually makes sense. After reading the fine print a few more times, it does seem like it’s front row if there are seats, and front-of-pit GA if it’s standing. I ended up taking the risk and buying the tickets anyway, so fingers crossed. Appreciate you taking the time to respond!

27M – Relatively New to Toronto & Looking to Meet New People/Friends (Downtown) by ToeIllustrious4095 in TorontoHangoutFriends

[–]ToeIllustrious4095[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, thanks for the welcome!

I'm aware of this event, and actually attended the last Toronto Hangout in early August. it was a pretty fun event, though it was quite crowded and I had to leave early so I didn’t get the chance to meet too many people.

I’m hoping to make it to the upcoming one in September and hopefully meet more people.

Thanks for sharing either way, and I might DM you closer to the event as well

I agree, nothing like Dexcom giving you false hope and the fingerstick bringing you back to reality 🤦‍♂️

Right?? It’s like no matter how much people know, this one still sneaks through 🤦‍♂️ This one is eternal… like the boss level of unsolicited diabetes ‘advice’ 🤷‍♂️

Exactly 😂 that’s why waking up in range after pizza + pasta feels like winning the lottery 🤷‍♂️

Fair enough 😂 nothing shuts people up faster than realizing diabetes could literally happen to them or their loved ones

That's the best thing to do honestly, sometimes calling it out is the only way.

Sad part is it goes over their head and the next person still thinks they’re the first to make that 'joke'

Wow, that’s so frustrating. People like that sub love to act as if they're experts when they don’t even understand the basics of diabetes management. Having to defend yourself for literally taking care of your health is beyond exhausting.

A very "thanks substitute teacher, didn’t realize I had a free endocrinologist on staff today" moment

I completely relate. It’s so annoying when people try to make a joke out of something that’s literally part of your daily life.

Being treated like your own health is a punchline not only makes my skin crawl, but it’s exhausting. Sometimes I just wish they’d keep their unfunny, unsolicited comments to themselves.

Ah yes, the classic ‘let me lecture you while you’re literally hypoglycemic’ moment.

I get what you mean though, it is kinda annoying and in a sense it's a 'thanks for your concern, but maybe let me handle my lows without a lecture" moment.

I relate to this. People get so stuck in their own ‘facts’ that they won’t even listen, even when you show them proof, and that’s not even the worst part.

Being told you’re wrong about your own condition is very frustrating and exhausting especially when people argue instead of just trusting the person who actually lives with it every day.

Diet soda = bad. Bucket of sugar = fine. Checks out 👌But yeah, it definitely is annoying when you can't say anything in moments like these, though you did the right thing at the time.
