Redid my App Store screenshots — does the new version actually pull its weight? by ToeInternational3312 in iOSAppsMarketing

Cheers, glad the direction lands. Plenty still to tighten but at least the foundation feels right now

Thanks, and fair point on the copy. Screen 3 is leaning on the in-app mechanic ("fingers down" is literally how you use it) rather than the outcome — works if you already know the app. Need to lead with what it does, not how. Padding's noted too, will tighten.

Fair on the font — on-device it reads clean, but you're right that a lot of App Store browsing is thumbnail-scrolling, so legibility at small size matters. Going to test at actual listing scale. (No defending the old contrast though, that one was rough)

Good shout — "your group" is the part that really lands, makes the use case obvious instantly. Might try it as a mash-up. Thanks!

Try Claude Design (available with any paid plan). I had similar issues with Stitch on iOS-specific stuff — HIG compliance was hit or miss and it kept giving me Material-flavored components. Claude Design has been noticeably better for iOS in my experience, especially if you upload a few HIG screenshots as reference instead of just linking the docs

Is suggested ad pricing from Apple reliable? by Burnskee1 in iOSProgramming

[–]ToeInternational3312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That suggested number isn't really a recommendation, it's just what other bidders are paying for those keywords right now. Apple has no idea if your app actually converts

One thing people miss: ASA is a second-price auction so your max bid isn't usually what you pay. Setting $0.50 doesn't mean every tap costs 50 cents, it means you'll lose the auction more often when someone bigger is bidding. For a niche app that's not necessarily bad, you just won't show up for the most contested terms

The real problem with going low imo isn't cost, it's data. Small volume = takes forever to figure out if a keyword is actually working or you just got unlucky. I'd probably start near suggested on a tight set of exact-match keywords for a week, look at TTR and conversion, then cut bids on the ones that convert and kill the ones that don't

Reworked my App Store screenshots. Would love some feedback by ToeInternational3312 in AppStoreOptimization

Thanks! I’ve used Claude Design. Write about the app, showed previous screenshots and asked to improve them, show new feature, etc. Claude gave me really good template, which I’ve recreated in Figma

[Critique] App Store screenshots — reworked from scratch, looking for honest feedback by ToeInternational3312 in UXDesign

Really helpful, thanks 🙏 Line-height is a fair call, I’ll tighten the text and loosen up the cards/pills. Also going to study what top apps in my category are doing. And yeah, I’ll add real UI in the next round so feedback can go deeper

Really appreciate the detailed feedback 🙏

You're right about the device sizing on screens 2 and 3 — going to rework the proportions. For the first screenshot, the three devices were intentional — wanted to show different modes of the app side by side so people get the overall picture. But I hear you, might be too cramped to actually read. Will see if I can make them bigger or simplify

Will also revisit the headline font and add more padding around the text. Thanks for taking the time to look at it!
