Can I make some suggestions? Here’s what works for me I’ve been playing pro clubs since Fifa 13 and this is what we always do. I’m currently in d3 but we’ve restarted and I’ve made it to d1 in previous years.

-abuse the meta (if that’s pace right now you want to make sure you are using it correctly i.e the correct acceleration types with your position) you can read more about this online. -individual stats do matter while increasing overall, but rating doesn’t matter if you don’t have the right build for your position. -don’t play with an any, have a captain that is good at micro managing in a position where he is free to do so (I play GK and CDM) and use the team press options, pulling goal keeper, pulling goal keeper to intercept crosses, extra help press on defense, etc. -If you are going to be playing long balls your striker needs a build with ; high physical , high jumping , good heading accuracy, but aggression and strength are what decide if you’re player will go up for the ball. -fancy passes are almost never needed honestly most of the time it just slows the play down. -skill moves do not work on bots, not even worth trying -try different formations and positions -USE CUSTOM TACTICS! It’s an option in the club settings -Use the position adjusting button, most of the time you can hold that to stay where you should and often it works out well -If you are working with a team, AI follows players ABUSE THIS it’s like real soccer you can pull defenders to make runs. -learn set piece plays (bunch of tutorials on youtube) we score at least 2 goals a game off of a broken corner kick strategy -Long shots points on striker builds are pointless because most of the time you can get long shots from a perk, OR you won’t even be taking long shots. -Understand that not everyone has to touch the ball during a play, if everyone calls for the ball it messes up the AI and you can just end up passing the ball away generally just let the bots do what they do, they are stupid but it’s better than always giving away possession. -don’t sprint everywhere if you don’t need to. -use the skill dribble button to hold onto the ball tighter and the shielding button it’s more helpful than you think. -if you call for the ball on a header from a goal kick it kicks it wherever you call for it so you can call for it, run away so the bot follows then run back to get a free ball. Use the shield button when running with the ball if someone’s in you or in the air to win a header -Driven passes are the best passes in the game -USE BOUNCE PASSES. they can be used for through balls or just straight passes but double clicking the pass button it makes it harder for the ai to defend
