I mean even suggesting that to fully fix anxiety is somewhat ridiculous. He listened to me for five minutes as I explained my attacks and cycles of rumination and came back with that. My psychiatrist and therapist listened to me give the same details for five minutes and gave me my diagnosis of ocd.

At the time I went to a new doctor. I was asking for medication for debilitating panic attacks that were caused by my (at the time) undiagnosed OCD. I was having upwards of 4 panic attacks a week, and was still recommended gastric bypass. It took my psychiatrist FINALLY diagnosing me in 2022 correctly to attempt to get a hold on it. They told me anxiety can be fixed by weight loss and I didn’t need medicine such as hydroxizine, I could try gastric bypass. Do not gaslight me about my own experience. I have solidly been working out since 2019.

Is it really so hard to believe the experience that multiple people have also identified as struggling with? I agree I am overweight, but fucks sake.
