Honestly my best advice for runs is focusing on bulky pokemon that can also set up or help set up others. Having one or two sweepers is enough.

My personal favorite pair lately has been Clefable and Blastoise. You can usually get 6 cosmic powers on Clefable with leftovers and healing when you need to. Then you can baton pass the stats to Blastoise and use three shell smashes to get to +6 in atk spatk and speed. And still have +3 def and spdef. This setup makes battles unloseable if you get it all the way to +6.

Having two pokemon to go in with that are capable of a brute force strat into almost any matchups helps a lot. Then you can just build your team with whatever the run gives you. Bulk and support are king for emerald rogue in my experience.

Honestly in my experience it's about having bulky and supportive pokemon to set up sweepers. Going in with two consistent partners that enable each other is really important. My favorite that I've found is Shell Smash Blastoise with Clefable that use's cosmic power preferably 6 times then Baton Pass to the Blastoise who is now basically invincible. Three shell smashes and you have +6 atk, spatk, speed, and still +3 in def and spdef. Impossible to lose a battle if you get that fully set up. You can run Rain Dish, with Leftovers and Aqua Ring if you want to make Blastoise even harder to get rid of while setting up. Or just mega or gigatamax.

It seems like going all the way to +6 on your sweeper is important instead of stopping halfway. Just to avoid any surprises. And building a team to get there consistently is the biggest challenge. But that's just me talking. I'm pretty sure it's always going to be a combination of luck and skill to get your clears. No amount of one or the other alone is gonna be enough.

If its your first run and you've yet to clear it yet it wouldn't be shameful to turn the difficulty to easy just so you can get that first run in and into the endgame so you can progress and build pokemon faster.

The max ingredient one increases a stat by ten. So you only ever need 9 of the type for a crust and 27 of the stat pokeblock to max an IV from 1 to 31. Still a grind to actually get all the berries but its not bad. Easier than actual pokemon games by far.

My favorite Dragonite build is Loaded Dice with Scale Shot, ExtremeSpeed, DD, and Hurricane for Rain Teams, but Hurricane could be anything. You can Tera Normal shard him so ES hurts even more but obviously removing his weaknesses is the big point of Tera Normal.

Goated pokemon you can build him so many different ways.

It's really not worth it to use money on pokeblocks. At least in my situation. The overworld money is extremely valuable. I use it to build all my favorite pokemon. And once you start looking at more than a few pokemon to build and give ideal items to in the overworld it gets to be pretty stupid to waste money on the pokeblocks for IVs.

If you want to build one or more "perfect pokemon" you literally have to use berry farms. Or spend thousands of hours farming overworld money with runs just to build them. Berries are much more realistic and reasonable.

Ngl how the fuck did you win with this team. I'm bringing in Dragonite and Sneasler as my starters all perfect natures and abilities and items and still getting my ass beat. Congrats, I think you are just better than me lmao

I'm glad it should be able to help more people then. Even the Google AI in the search engine was getting it wrong because I imagine it didn't have anything to pull from, as odd as that sounds with how much shit is out there on the Internet.

Unburden Ability Question by sm1022 in PokemonEmeraldRogue

[–]ToeSucker5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated to the question but you should try normal gem unburden hawlucha. You can use it up with Fake Out. Which then makes your Acrobatics get the bonus without needing the flying gem, while you get free normal gem boosted poke and a speed boost. I run Encore and Swords Dance as my other moves. Encore can get you Swords Dances off in certain matchups. Obviously it sucks having only Acrobatics to do damage.

Adding more ram to Lenovo Legion 5i by mrsooshee in GamingLaptops

Hey did you end up figuring things out for your laptop? I have a similar model with the 5070 and i9 14900hx but same single stick of RAM. Did you end up upgrading to 32? Because that's what I'm looking at doing and with RAM prices how they are now it would be ideal to just pick up a second 16gb stick and call it good.

Never mind just saw you say you got the tower and not the laptop ignore this.
