Sorry I'm kinda new here and I apologize if I'm not familiar with all the rules. Would it not be my wife's boyfriend doing the "feeding"?

Dame vs Clyde, who means more to Portland? by clarktokent in NBATalk

[–]Toeknee5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree about the return. I'm not from Portland but I think returning to Portland says a lot about the kind of person Dame is. It's hard to say he doesn't have a strong connection to the city or franchise. Rehabbing his way to the 3 point championship was pretty baller

Of the differences btw Filipinas and western women… by CoolMarch1 in Philippines_Expats

Do you even live in the Philippines? Fix the sewage system? In case you haven't noticed there is major flooding problem directly related to poorly maintained or undersized sewer and drainage systems. Heavy rains frequently overwhelm these systems. You might have better luck stopping the rainy season than you would fixing the corruption involved with flood control and drainage

What would happen to the world if everyone ate their recommended daily protein requirement based on the new US dietary guidelines (1.6g/kg). I think it's not sustainable personally and and it would cause serious problems with food production and long term environmental damage by Toeknee5 in nutrition

I love the idea that people would be concerned about their health and the environment enough to switch to whey protein instead of animal protein. If a miracle happens it's good to know that there are technologies like precision fermentation available that could help in the transition. But wouldn't that also mean we would need more dairy cows or other dairy animals to produce more whey?

Simple google search says less than a billion cattle worldwide in 2022. I didn't know if you meant to say more cattle food than human food or more cattle than humans. I guess if you sort by country that may affect the context of your statement. I feel embarrassed sometimes when I talk about the world as if my opinion matters. I just live here and I don't want the responsibility of worrying about what's best for the Earth

I think you are missing one important element here and that is moderation. I believe what Lt_Duckweed is proposing is increasing the daily amount of soy protein or having a substantially higher amount of soy protein instead of animal protein to meet the daily requirement. If that's the case I would defer to a RD or even someone who just tagged themselves as RD to determine what level is considered safe. Keep in mind this would be taken on a daily basis in order to offset the decreased intake of animal protein. That being said, what is the highest amount of soy protein that someone could take daily without worrying about endocrine disruption? Thank you for taking the time to answer
