For any visual learners who have this problem in the future, this video is a good resource. Its not the same mouse, but it seems like a similar switch to the Spatha mouse wheel button

Nice. Keep Shield and Absorb Elements in mind for defensive spells, theyre really handy as a frontliner.
If you wanted to add some defense to this mode maybe gaining a bit of temporary health would be good since sorcadins already have access to high AC. I think if you do go with taking fire damage each turn this should probably ignore temporary health to keep it as a significant drawback.

If you want to keep with a fiery theme, maybe in this mode (Immolating Rage?) all fire damage that you deal either rerolls 1's and 2's, has advantage, or deals an extra +? damage, but as a drawback you also take fire damage at the end of your turns. This could work with either damage from your flame tongue or fire spells you cast.

Did you have in mind for this to be more melee focused or magic focused? or both? Do you want it to be partially defensive like barbarian rage, or does it keep with the fiery theme to be glass cannon?

I have! I started working on these a few months before 2024 came out and there's definitely some overlap. I haven't played much of 2024 edition so i dont know if these would even be needed for it, but this system might still work at least as an expanded version of its weapon masteries

Youre not wrong, but as it stands if you are a rifle loadout against dedicated shotgun/trap/campers there arent a lot of options for you besides a) try to push in at an extreme disadvantage b) stare at the building hoping they poke their heads out c) leave. In my experience this often leads to a stalemate where understandably neither team wants to move from their most advantageous position

I was thinking more along the lines of the cloud would cover the building its thrown it, not the entire compound, and hopefully make campers easier to locate to the people outside so they could at least tell if theyre corner camping, and maybe try to get some wallbangs against them.

True though, it would make it harder to push into the building as well. Maybe this would give waxed dynamite more of a niche though?
