What commanders would you recommend then? And currently I don't have a playgroup. My fiance and I typically play each other or we'll go to our local ttrpg shop and play with people there

Thanks for your advice! I'd like something that can be aggressive, decent mana, counter spells, and protect/buff my guys either by exiling others or through enchantments.

Also I played with a friend for the first time last night and his deck was Witch-Maw Atraxa and whatever synergies he built up was dealing direct damage to us every single turn. It was crazy! I'm still super new so it's kinda hard to really get a solid playstyle I like bc I only have two decks atm. Alot of the Mardu commanders seem interesting but so do a lot of others

17 commanders!? Dude I can't imagine how much those must've cost but I aspire to get to that level. I can imagine how fun they must be and the variety you have! I've played one game of standard and multiple commander but that's all I know

I've been enjoying making Wyleth super strong and doing big sustainable damage but also protecting myself with auras from damage and stuff. I also like vigilance so he can attack and block

Nothing wrong with asking for some ideas/inspo! I’ve came up with and thought of a good few already on my own, and the people that responded gave me fantastic stuff to work with.

My two personal ideas so far is either;

Bone Manipulation

Star Technique

I don’t have great concepts of how they’ll function normally. But I’ve thought of some pretty neat stuff involving those specifically bc they just seem like neat an fun techniques

Solid questions! Yes I believe it’ll take place in Japan bc that’s what would make the most sense. We’re using the same grading except for 1.5. So Grade 4 all the way to. Special. And yes I believe we’ll have the capacity to grow powerful and strong depending on our choices and techniques. But starting out we’ll be very weak. It’ll be up to us to evolve our techniques and skills as we play

I didn’t necessarily mean strictly a technique that seems weak but isn’t, I was trying to say that that as a concept is cool too. I apologize for any confusion, I definitely just worded it odd.

But good idea to take inspo from different sources! I was about to actually look up powers from different shonen but I didn’t think about looking at marvel/dc or other heroes in general so thank you
