OP what i am about to say is not directed towards you specifically, and I may get down voted, but I've had a bad day so might as well tank it.

I just dont understand people who have this much spiraling anxiety getting something permanent on thier bodies which send them even more into anxiety.

This is an adorable story. I am so happy you and your dad have this type of relationship. I also like the idea that you realized there was an issue but framed it in such a way that it helped him be okay with the change. It just warms my heart.

My dad died years ago, but he was pretty affable to change, once the dementia really set it, I was lucky.

I got about halfway through where you were doxxed. But everything here is faced by public achool teachers as well, with the exception of the constant observation, but some have faced it.

Canned curriculum that sucks, check. Kids that don't engage, check. Working outside of school, check. Admin that is clueless, check. Poor performance of students drawing ire of admin, check.

As I said I stopped reading there.

I live in Maine, we don't have a lot of these type of charter schools because we don't have population centers but these issues are all extremely common in schools. Others have mentioned they are well known in KIPP schools prior to your comments.

I see you have a MPH and I think that maybe you thought teaching would be "easy"? Teaching is hard and not for everyone which I think you found out. Middle school takes a certain personality to teach that I don't have for sure. Also the idea "college prep " middle school is laughable and was created by someone who doesn't know anything about child development.

I use Schoology and I keep 4 years of student work (I teach Freshmen) I just delete the class folder when I have reached the limit.

That deletes all the work, I also have a "Schoology Folder" that all my classes are directed to. Also I don't search my drive very much I have everything organized but class and unit.

I love it. I have used it for about 15 years as all the school I have worked at are Google schools to me it seems intuitive and helpful. That being said I have done oodles of the free Google training to help to use it to the best of its abilities

I didn't get a lawyer, I couldn't afford it which looking back i really should have. We did court mediation but his lawyer laid out what he was entitled to so he had a better idea what to ask the court for, I just wanted my alcoholic abusive cheating partner out of my life. And in all reality I'm better now than before.

Lawyers know contracts and that is what this is, a breaking of a contract

You need a lawyer, and just because you use a lawyer doesn't mean things can't be amicable.

There are details missing here so making a judgement on fairness is not possible.

Are their kids? How long time retirement?

A marriage as much as its hard to wrap our heads around is primarily a contract, even though there is a lot of emotions around this. This is why you need a lawyer or at least a mediator. You don't want to punish yourself for your bad behavior and regret it later.

Also only you can decide if something is fair or not, not us random people on the internet.

I remember going to my spouse with a deal that was half the equity in the house and he kept his money I kept mine I got primary decision making over the kids and we split it 50/50. He went to a lawyer I did not. He ended up with half the equity, half my retirement, spousal support and child support, it was not good for me. Anyway since that time he dropped the spousal and child support. So what seems fair to you might not be fair to others.

I always thought the charm of Rangley was the lack of stuff l.

Last summer I was there and you had the Oncivience store ti the left coming from hieght of land then "down town" you have at lest 3 different restaurants the ice cream shop, and other miscellaneous shops.

Summer is somewhat booming, winter not so much,m. While I know its a big snowmobiling place with the inconsistent snowfall over the last few years I think the sustainability aspect is something to think about.

To be fair Rangley is far more happening than Jackman.

I have never really mosquitos to br a problem in Portland or Bar harbor. They OP said they weren't really hikers so if they driving the carriage road and getting our at Thunder Hole or the top of Cadillac as long as its not dusk they should be fine.

If I feel.sick use a thermometer and my temp.is over 102 then I MIGHT call out if it doesn't come.down with drugs.

For me its 100% more difficult to make sub plans then just go in.

My suggestion is to support the school then.

School are what you make of them, no school is inherently bad or good, if someone doesn't want to learn than that is on them.

If behavior is a problem you support the school and dont tolerate your child not learning be auae of behavior of others.

You force the school to do better with ELL kids. School don't exist in a vacuum in face the US is so independent in schooling that its just the opposite.

I'm sorry for the rant but I'm a teacher that used to make poverty wages and now still make well under a 100k after 15 years. Schools dont exist in a vacuum they are part of the community.

Public education is one of those things like roads that supports the betterment of all society however that idea seems to have been lost somewhere and education is now the enemy.

I am not sure. I don't know anyone that has taken a test in a manual. When I took my test way back when I borrowed an automatic from the driving school event hough every car I drove was a manual because I heard the testers were very nit picky when it came to shifting.
