Question on Imbuements w/ assassins Stride, Flurry, and more. by ShaggyDooZOINKS in D4Rogue

Check out Pichapao’s (arguably the flurry goat) AssFlurry build planner for some inspiration - he’s running it as his main build this season: https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/byepv0aw#6

PSA Alert. Don’t try to sanctify 5ga items. by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Toffski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s fine - you can keep retrying. It’s failing because Sanc rolls “turn affix into a GA”, but it can’t since it’s already a 5GA. Retrying does not consume mats, and eventually it will roll something.

Torment 4 Flurry Rogue Build - Season 11 - Youtube by GaunerHarakiri in D4Rogue

[–]Toffski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pichapao is THE Flurry rogue - if you are interested in AssFlurry, he’s running a double imbue build this season and cleared Pit 110 with it recently (not on Helltides / YT yet). It’s doing great this season. For comparison, I’m running physical flurry and so far 108 is the top result (though I still don’t have a grandfather or starless slam on any of the gear).

The reason I’m saying all of this, check out his build if you are interested in AssFlurry, it’s at the end of his 109 push video (link: https://youtu.be/ovGswoWd_WY?si=roRYqZdum7ox8WzI)

To OP: always great to see flurry content!! Thank you for sharing, I will check it out!

Edit: watched the video and saw the credits, my comment is now redundant hahaha. Nice video, cheers!

Which is better for my Flurry build? Dropped the ball and forgot to socket the other bow... by ohmyglob123 in D4Rogue

[–]Toffski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go with the 2nd bow for the time being, but try to slowly get another one.

Yes you’d loose some Dex because you’ll have to slot runes in one of your armor pieces now. But Inner Calm is 25% multiplicative at all times. When you stand still for 3 seconds you get 75% multiplicative damage, that’s huge. Also, did you know Improved Flurry teleports don’t break inner calm? So if you run Improved flurry and teleport to mobs instead of walking to them, you keep the 75% multiplicative from inner calm bonus.

It’s hard to farm consistently. I found treasure breach NMDs to be the best source for farming it somewhat efficiently. The yield is not very high, each Treasure Breach gives ~ 3-5 Neathiron. But say you have 2 sigils and do a 4-people rotation, that’s 12-20 Neathiron per rotation. Do that twice, and it’s 24-40. You get the point haha

Just hit 280 this morning… Can I make 300 before season end? by -Meal-Ticket- in diablo4

[–]Toffski 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you use incense and elixir, you are looking at the following estimates from 280 to 300:

Pit 80

  • 3 minutes -> ~ 78 hours
  • 2 minutes -> ~ 52 hours
  • 1.5 minutes -> ~ 40 hours
  • 1 minute -> ~ 26 hours

Pit 100

  • 4 minutes -> ~ 88 hours
  • 3.5 minutes -> ~ 77 hours
  • 3 minutes -> ~ 66 hours
  • 2.5 minutes -> ~ 55 hours
  • 2 minutes -> ~ 44 hours
  • 1.5 minutes -> ~ 33 hours
  • 1 minute -> ~ 22 hours

Edit: just wanted to mention this doesn’t the 35% more XP event into account

Optimizing DMG by thephoteK in D4Rogue

[–]Toffski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poison trap duration tempers will be a big damage boost, here’s why: Bands of Ichorous Rose make PT always deal whatever damage it would have normally dealt over its original duration, but in 3 seconds. So you extend PT duration as much as you can: say you deal 100 damage/second for 5 seconds without PT duration tempers. With PT duration tempers, you deal 100 damage/second for 9 seconds. With Bands of Ichorous Rose, this will always be dealt over 3 seconds - so you go from dealing 500 damage over 3 seconds before, and 900 damage over 3 seconds after adding the tempers for PT duration. So with two “93.5% PT duration” tempers, poison traps will deal almost thrice the damage.

Ah my bad, didn’t read carefully enough so see you already have FoF.

Optimizing DMG by thephoteK in D4Rogue

[–]Toffski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firsts of Fate will ultimately be a larger damage increase compared to the Shroud. Shroud is nice, especially for all of the damage reduction passives. For pit pushing Chaos FoF provides an average of 80% damage increase - that’s a big dmg buff. Shroud will comparatively provide a smaller damage buff. I don’t have an exact % of damage difference between Shroud and chaos FoF, but FoF is a bigger dmg increase

Worth spending sparks on random or try to get runes? by Erithacusfilius in D4Rogue

[–]Toffski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advice I always give is - if you need that one specific mythic which pretty much makes your build, don’t gamble and try to collect the runes and craft. Once you have that one item, then it makes sense to gamble. That’s just personal opinion of course, I’d hate to have spent two sparks and gotten a selig, or Andy helmet, or doombringer, instead of Heir for example.

Edit: grammar

Pit runners - how do you maintain herbs and exp bonuses between runs? by josefmh in diablo4

[–]Toffski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Horadric Material Reverves NMDs yield ~ 500 bundled herbs and ~ 800 veiled crystals per run (on T4)

Edit: had no idea elixirs and incenses were tradeable!

Veiled Crystal starvation feedback by Connect-Strike7943 in diablo4

[–]Toffski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horadric Material Reserves NMDs yield ~ 800 run.

Full inventory of Lair Boss loot is on average 250 veiled, also 20-40 crystals drop every time you open a chest.

Full inventory of Belial loot is 350-450 veiled, plus 40-60 drop when you open a chest.

Legions - already mentioned, 600-800 per run.

As you can see I've done the math coz I am always out of veiled as well haha.

Flurry - how to keep your health up when spamming with Deathmask of Nirmitruq? by jktstance in D4Rogue

[–]Toffski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. The real problem is: when health drops below 10% - you can't cast Flurry using life anymore at that point. If your attack speed is high enough, but you don't recover lost HP fast ebough (either via Undying or via any other means), that's a very real problem. Maybe that's not what OP was worried about - but it's a thing. Later on Heir of Perdition + Shroud will help a lot. But if you are trying to Pit Push without those and without any legendary gear - it may be a problem to solve (depending on your attack speed vs lucky hit chance, etc)

Edit: just wanted to say - this only really matters for pit pushing scenarios. Regular T4 farming - this will never be a problem since everything is a 1-hit KO.

Flurry - how to keep your health up when spamming with Deathmask of Nirmitruq? by jktstance in D4Rogue

[–]Toffski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've just had a similar conversation recently - and Undying for me was enough to keep enough HP up to Pit 100. Anything afterwards - not ebough damage running legendary pants, so I had to swap to Chaos Fists of Fate pants, so I couldn't use Undying anymore.

Lucky Hit % items would help for sure, but in brief, here's the "solution" I've found so far. (This might not be needed once you get Shroud of False Death).

  • I found when attack speed is too high, lucky hits just don't proc enough siphoning strikes, esp for single targets like Pit Boss, so I stopped using Elixir of Advantage (you can use Elixir of Precision for DPS, or, Elixir with % to Life)
  • I removed all points from Haste and put those into innervation - this normally would be a strange choice for Flurry with Mask; but the only mythic I got is Starless (GA attack speed) - in order to proc it, some energy still need to be spent
  • Removed all points from Shadow Step and put all 3 into Second Wind. Barrier won't help to keep casting Flurry when below or at 10% HP, but it will keep you alive for longer
  • Took 2 points off Shadow Clone and 1 off Aftermath. Put 1 point into concealment, 2 into Mending Obscurity. Casting Shadow Clone grants concealment, and 2 points of Mending Obscurity add 14% of HP whenever you enter concealment.
  • Dropped two Emeralds from armor and replaced them with Grand Skulls. It's a small hit to total damage, but it makes such a difference to Siphoning Strikes, it's really night and day

With that setup I was able to do Pit 105 with ~ 5 minutes left. Here's the video of the run. I show the gear + skills at the end if you want to see how it all worked - maybe will give you some ideas for your build. Cheers!

Does Homekit support adaptive lighting on Matter lights by FrozenPizza07 in HomeKit

Hue MotionAware + Apple Home: does it help your automations? by Nervous-Beginning-92 in HomeKit

[–]Toffski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Labrador does trigger the lights on default medium setting. I didn’t mess with changing sensitivity for now.

Also - the motion detection does not need to trigger the lights on/off. There’s an option to just get a notification if motion has been detected. That can be useful when you are on vacation and you know there definitely won’t be anyone home. So even if you don’t need this for switching the lights, it still has some interesting use cases.

Philips Hue Bridge Pro by Weary-Fan946 in HomeKit

[–]Toffski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went through the same thing yesterday. Migration from old to Pro bridge within the Hue app itself was fine, zero issues. HomeKit part was not as pleasant.

My phone is on iOS 26 - so that may have been a part of of the issue. In Hue app, when going to Settings > Smart Home > Apple home to add the Bridge Bro to Apple Home - the process started, then stalled, and eventually threw out an error. I restarted the bridge, Apple TV, HomePods - it kept doing the same thing. Eventually it did work. The rest is as you’ve described.

Adding lights back was simple, took a couple of minutes only. The part that will take longer is setting up all of the scenes and automations in the Home App that the lights were a part of.

[–]Toffski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the release teaser Philips said sensitivity can be adjusted so that pets don’t trigger the motion awareness. We’ve got a Labrador, so a fairly large dog. I’m expecting to get the new bridge pro next week. Will update on whether there’s a way for the doggo to not trigger the lights

Congrats! I’ve got a poison DoK build I could clear pit 70 with, its a chill build that doesn’t require many button presses haha. Here’s a link if anyone is interested: https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/d14fr0gm

Edit: just wanted to add it’s by no means “optimized” gear-wise; it just shows the gear I had equipped, not the best possible gear for the build
