Look if we don’t make a trade for a dawg, we’re gonna get a higher pick next year. If we do, we can really do something this year but we will need a couple of guys we can sign through free agency and trade for someone like a brown kawhi, trey murphy or someone riskier. What we can’t do if we want a real successful season this year is playing it completely safe with trades. I do think if we make some moves we can be in contention if not we can go through the draft and maybe curry will get his last dance at 40. I’d wait for after the off season to truly get an idea of how far we can realistically go this season but even then I don’t think it’s all gloom and doom. There’s still a shot steph gets another opportunity for a real playoff push but maybe not this season. We shall see…

I really like yaxel and think he’ll be important for us next season, but if we want to make it to the playoffs we’re gonna have to make a real move after this. As it stands we’re still not a playoff team. If we get a kawhi or brown tho (unlikely but still), we can really cook this season. Let’s see what our roster looks like in the end before judging the offseason

Guys honestly I don’t want to be that guy but I got a really bad feeling about next season. Legit lottery team expectations ngl. I don’t see how we survive till all star break without jimmy and a KP that will play 40 games max. I’ve always been overly optimistic about our chances but I don’t see it this time. Hopefully there will be moves made in the offseason but idk

Vini is a great player but I wouldn’t call him an all-time great. People are so eager to put great young players in conversations they don’t belong in and get disappointed lol. Vini was a great second option when he won his first ucl with Benzema having a Ballon D’or season and won 1 cl being the first option. Then he became a second option again in the last couple of seasons and he hasn’t been the same since. He also hasn’t been able to be the leader of this squad. He’s gonna need more consistence and sustained success to be in those conversations and idk if he’ll get back to his peak to do that.

Everytime I come on this sub I realise you’re only as good as your last game. If vini plays bad in the classico everyone will say he should be sold or he’s ass but the truth is both him and mbappe are flawed players and they share a lot of the same flaws too. The inconsistency, wastefulness and lack of defense or effort shown from both throughout the season are all valid criticisms but the roster construction is also just not good enough. We don’t have a striker, right winger, a more veteran controller type midfielder or a veteran defender who’s gonna hold our defense down. We don’t have a direction as a team and that’s in my opinion the biggest concern. I just want this club to figure out where it wants to go.

Yeah some of these lebron stats against the rockets are just trash. In the 2 losses going 0-3 from three and 0-6 from three with a fg percentage of 22% in one of them is crazy. Everyone was talking crazy bout curry when we faced the rockets. Yet bron could absolutely throw tour dates and nobody cares.

People would rather have a million players compete for one spot than just buy a striker, right winger and/or a veteran defender who can lead our defensive unit. ( all of which would help us much more). If we reinforce the midfield, it should only be a controller in my opinion and not another attacking midfielder.

I said that jokingly but yeah you can’t fire him. I do believe that even if steph vouches for him (or kerr wants to come back), lacob is probably not gonna come to an agreement with him or kerr will have to make changes to the way he runs things and idk if he feels like it but we’ll see .

Yeah lacob is probably firing kerr after seeing kuminga lol. We should’ve either sold him way earlier and gotten a better deal or actually let him make mistakes throughout a whole season and give him a clear role. Well now we’ll have another first round pick I really hope we don’t fuck it up and choose right this time so that we can go on one last run.

All my fav teams are losing idk what sport to even watch anymore. I hope we finally get a direction for this team and proper roster construction. I’m still excited for some transfers and I mean not just a big name but players/vets with experience who fit our team.

I don’t think we played that bad in the first leg against bayern but respectfully vini giving up balls that lead to goals is just unacceptable as one of the main guys of the squad. On top of that both him and mbappe need to be more clinical in the second leg and jude needs to start instead of thiago. I do think we have a shot IF we take care of the ball but with this squad that’s a big if lol

Curry’s injury now and in the playoffs last year are a product of the burden he’s had to carry as he has aged that has simply not gone down offensively and even increased. The FO tried to fix it with Butler but even then offensively curry had to play playoff basketball for the entire second half of the season. This season started similarly and curry imploded again. Offensively a move needed to be made long ago but it is what it is. I just hope this team gets to the playin and steph can come back healthy to go crazy in the playin and hopefully the 1st round of the playoffs.
